Teenagers are supposed to study in school, absorb knowledge instead of working. It is their time to learn and attend schools and coaching. We have always known that it is generally after school and college that people start working to implement the knowledge. But part-time jobs are preventing the students from studying as it is consuming a considerable amount of time. Teenage is the time to gain knowledge about science, humanities, history, literature, geography, and more. It is time to learn extracurricular activities like dance, photography, singing, and many more activities. It is, in fact, suggested that students should spend 3 hours of their time practicing what they learned from school as homework. Part-time work will gradually kill the interest of the student to study, depriving them of quality academic knowledge. This will further result in low scores which will prevent them from higher education. Eventually, they will neither be able to pursue graduation nor work properly in a corporation.

The other very crucial reason for not supporting part-time work is, it causes students to wear out very soon. The teenage period is the time to build their health and mind, but constant engagement in part-time work will result in a tired body. The person will neither be consuming meals in proper time nor sleep timely. Exercise, meditation are a few important activities necessary for building oneself. There are many part-time jobs that soak in more strength than a teenager can provide. These kinds of jobs are even more harmful to them. It makes them work when they are supposed to enjoy club activities, recreation, sleep, and exercise.

Lastly, part-time jobs result in income and teenagers are not wise enough to spend the money in a sober way. It may happen that the income is spent on unnecessary things, or even in the worst case, illegal things. It is best for teenagers to start earning money when they are mature enough.

Gone are the days when the teenage time was only for studying and attending school. In today’s time, teenagers are also working part-time jobs. Though many consider it as an inessential thing, according to me it is good to work on a part-time job from that age. Though it should be kept in mind that part-time jobs should only consume a certain time of their lives and not hamper their studies.

Firstly, teenagers working part-time jobs help them to learn the value of money. This is the most crucial factor that appears to my mind when listening to the topic. Academic learning is undoubtedly necessary, but alongside, students should also learn to value money. We see our parents working hard to meet the daily needs of the family. When a teenager learns to work and work hard to earn even a small amount, they learn to grow. They will be wiser and spend money only on those things that are absolutely necessary. This will be helpful for those teenagers coming from weak-income families. They will learn the hard way of earning and be better people in the upcoming days.

Next, they learn about responsibility and punctuality. Part-time jobs help candidates in being responsible for their works and projects. They learn to be punctual, submit their works on time, and implement the same in their lives. Teenagers will learn to be good team players from a young age. They will know the ways to settle problems, handle a meeting, and communicate with different kinds of people. These teenagers will get to know about friendships, and also the hard ways to commit to a relationship.

It will be a good experience for young people to work while studying. It will help them become responsible and punctual adults.
