Topic: A live performance vs. television broadcast

Model Answer 1:

There are numerous people who are big fans of live performances. They do all kinds of things, just to get a ticket to a football match or concert. I belong to another category of people who like to stay home and enjoy shows from the living room. Despite the fact that I am a mad fan of music and sports, I like to enjoy concerts or performances on TV.

First of all, going to a concert requires a lot of preparation which includes, buying tickets, taking time off from other activities, planning for transportation. In case the show is in another town, it implies one needs to search for accommodation. Anyhow, I think all this hassle just for one show is a bit inappropriate.

Last week, my colleagues went to attend a music concert in a nearby town. Because of the concert, all roads were full of people. It was so packed, they couldn't even drive the car. They had to leave the car at a place that was very far from the actual location. It was a big hassle. After the concert, they did not get any public transportation to go to the car and they had to walk such a long-distance again.

Also, The seating arrangement can hugely affect the comfort of watching the show. If you get a seat that is far away from the stage or playground, people's heads and cheers will cause disturbance from watching the show, and at last, you would not even remember whom you have seen in the play or who wins in a sports event.

All in all. I am in favor of comfort and ease. I will stay home safe and sound rather than worrying about unnecessary things.

Model Answer 2:

Today we have an assortment of choices for their leisure time. We have many choices to keep ourselves entertained, for example, attending concerts, visiting museums, and so on. Quite possibly the most well-known one is sports events. A few people believe that nothing could be replaced by live performance. Others remain on the other side, thinking that television broadcast is merit supplant, particularly for individuals who are too occupied to attend these kinds of events. Personally speaking, I agree with the second group.

I believe that attending sports events is time-consuming. For instance, for a ninety minutes soccer match, you need to spare at least four hours. It is an approximate time for only attending the main event and does not include the after-party or something like that. It tends to be even more for art performances. While you can sit on your sofa in front of the TV, and enjoy your favorite performance in less time. Owing to the satellite antenna, television broadcast coverage of all the events around the world. So you will not miss any important event.

According to the television broadcast, you have no restriction of the location any longer. You can get the signal of your favorite program even from far-off places. In any case, if you want to watch the live shows, you need to adjust your personal or work time according to them. It doesn't appear significant for people who have a serious job. I think live performances are suitable for local entertainers in local places.

I just want to consider that I really like the enthusiasm and good feeling of the live shows but it is not my liking and I prefer to sit at home and enjoy the television broadcast.
