NATA is conducted twice a year in the month of April and July. The application procedure for both the sessions is likely to be started in the 4th week of January, 2021. The link to fill the application form for the first and second session will be active by 2nd week of March and 3rd week of June respectively.

  • The application form shall be filled and submitted online on the official website.
  • No hard copy of the application acknowledgement is required to be sent via post.

Candidates can appear in either the first session or second session or both. The application form shall be filled separately for each session if a candidate wants to appear in both the sessions. It shall be noted that the candidates appearing for both sessions will be issued separate scorecards for each session and the scorecard for the second session will show the marks secured in both sessions. The minimum eligibility criteria to appear in NATA 2021 is that a candidate should have passed/appeared in class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with 50% sectional score(marks in each of the three subjects) and 50% aggregate marks.

Step- Wise Application Process

NATA 2021: Application Process

After the registration process candidates are required to fill the detailed application form in which all the personal and academic details of the candidate will be required. Also, a scanned copy of passport sized photograph and signature is required to be uploaded. In the application form the candidates will choose their preferences for the examination center. There shall not be any language choice option as the exam will be conducted in English language only.

The step to fill application form are mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of NATA

  • Click on ‘NATA 2021 Registration’

  • Enter the login credentials and click on ‘login’

  • Fill all the details in the application form

  • Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature

  • Select the exam center and submit the application

  • Preview and submit the application form

  • Pay the application fee online(fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances)

  • Download the application and acknowledgement page for future references

NATA 2021: Application Fee

Payment of application fee shall be done online through net banking or debit/credit card. Payment process shall be completed successfully as without successful payment the application will be rejected. The candidates belonging to the reserved category have got some relaxation in the amount of application fee. Also, candidates applying for both sessions have to pay a lesser amount on the whole.

Candidates shall be very careful while filling the application for as any error can cause discrepancies in the application and admit card. Below mentioned are some important advisory for the candidate regarding the application form:

  • Each and every particular is necessary and it must be filled properly without any error

  • The email address and phone number must be valid and operational and it shall remain same until the application and admission process is completed

  • The payment shall be completed successfully as without the payment the application shall be considered incomplete and the candidature will be cancelled

  • If the payment did not complete and amount debited then the candidate must try again as payment will be considered incomplete until the payment acknowledgement page is generated

  • Any extra amount debited due to technical issues will be refunded to the original mode of payment


Eligibility Criteria

NATA 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed class 12 with physics,chemistry and mathematics as main subjects and scored at least 50% in each of the three subjects with an aggregate score of 50% are eligible to appear in NATA. Also, the candidates who have passed 10+3 diploma examination with mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% aggregate marks are eligible for this examination. The candidates who are appearing for class 12 and 10+3 examination are also eligible to apply.

Candidates are supposed to fill and submit the application form carefully. If any candidates make any error in the application form then it can be corrected using the form correction window which will be available around the last week of March 2021. It shall be noted that the candidates will get only one chance of form correction and changes made cannot be undone under any circumstances. Steps to edit the application form are mentioned below:

  • Create a ticket under helpdesk with the title ‘error correction’

  • If any document is required to be changed then it should be attached with the ticket

  • Submit the response

Common Reasons for Rejection of Application:

There are certain cases in which the application form can be rejected or the candidature will be cancelled and it cannot be revoked under any circumstances. Some common reasons for the rejection of application form are mentioned below:

  • Incomplete application

  • Missing/incorrect information

  • Failure of payment

  • Eligibility criteria not fulfilled

Question: Is there any offline mode of application?

Ans. The application shall be filled and submitted online only and no other mode of application is allowed.

Ans. The payment shall be made only through electronic payment gateway via net banking or debit/credit cards.

Ans. The registration and applications for both the sessions shall be made separately.

Question: Can I change the center of examination in the form correction window?

Ans. The center once selected cannot be changed and any request to change the center shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The decision of the authority regarding the allotment of centers is final and binding upon the candidates.

Question: I do not have 50% in physics but I have secured 50% aggregate marks. Can I apply?

Ans. To appear in the examination the candidates should have at least 50% marks in physics,chemistry and mathematics and 50% aggregate marks. No candidates with less than 50% sectional and 50% aggregate marks shall be considered eligible for NATA.
