TISSNET is a National level test, conducted by TATA Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. TISSNET 2020 is scheduled for January 12, 2020 for admissions to M.A. academic programs. Admission in Tata Institute of Social Science is based on the candidate’s performance in written exam. Final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in Written Exam, Pre-Interview Test/ GD and Interview.

TISSNET 2020: Exam Day Instructions

The first and foremost thing, a candidate should not forget to carry a valid photo ID along with the TISSNET admit card on the exam day. Given below are some of the important exam day instructions that you must keep them in mind- 

• You must paste your recent passport size photograph on TISSNET Admit Card 2020 in the space provided if the photograph printed on the admit card is not clearly visible.
• The photograph should be same as affixed on the TISSNET 2020 application form.
• Applicants must hand over the TISSNET admit card to the Invigilator when asked, at the test centre.
• Carry a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card to the TISSNET exam centre for the verification.
• Keep the TISSNET Admit Card 2020 safe till the admission process ends.

TISSNET 2020: Exam Pattern

You are advised to carefully go through TISSNET Exam Pattern for your final round of revision. TISSNET is an objective type online based test. The duration of TISSNET Exam is 100 minutes in which you have to attempt a maximum of 100 questions in 3 different sections. There is no provision of negative marking in TISSNET 2020 Exam.

You should try to answer all the questions within the allotted time limit. The section wise distribution of questions and marks is indicated in the following table-

TISSNET 2020: Online Test Instructions

You can refer the below listed instructions before you sit for TISSNET Online Test.  

• During online test, candidates will be allotted a computer system with a TISSNET login screen. They will have to log in using your TISSNET User ID and Password which is provided on the TISSNET Hall Ticket.
• After logging in, Candidate’s profile (Name, Roll No. & photograph etc.) will be displayed and you have to confirm the same by clicking on ‘I confirm’ button.
• After this, general instructions will be displayed on the screen.
• Candidates should read the TISSNET instructions carefully and indicate the same by ‘checking’ (click) the box at the bottom of the screen, after which the ‘I am ready to begin’ button is activated.
• After clicking on the ‘I am ready to begin’ button the actual test time will begin.
• Only 1 question will be displayed at a time.
• In order to answer a question, you have to ‘mouse click’ the option you think is appropriate/ correct. The alternative which has been clicked on will be highlighted and will be treated as the answer given by you for the question.
• After selecting an answer for a question you should click on the ‘Save & Next’ button to save the answer and proceed to the next question. It should be noted that without clicking on ‘Save & Next’ button the answer selected for a question will not be saved.
• In case you do not wish to attempt the question then you should not click on any option for that question. You can choose to deselect the answer for a particular question by clicking on the ‘Clear Response’ button provided against each question.
• The question numbers of attempted and un-attempted questions are also shown to the right of the screen. You can then click on any of the question number to view the question, in order to attempt/ revise answer to the question.
• You are not permitted to submit answers before the entire test time i.e. 100 minutes is over.
• When you click on a particular question, it takes some time for the question to appear. The time lost is not deducted from total allotted time for the TISSNET exam.
• Under no circumstances, you should click on any of the ‘keyboard keys’ as this will lock the TISSNET exam.

TISSNET 2020: Online Test Submission Details

Candidates can only change your answers before clicking the ‘Submit’ button. After the expiry of the exam duration, you will not be able to attempt any question or check your answers.

Last but not the least, your answers would be automatically saved by the computer system even if you have not clicked the ‘Submit’ button.

TISSNET 2020: Last Minute Preparation Tips

TISSNET 2020 is just around the corner and by now you will be jittery than ever. But the only thing to overcome this fear is to prepare well for TISSNET 2020. Be careful to carry your TISSNET Admit Card and ID proof with you along with the stationary. Take a tight sleep before the TISSNET winter and stick to your strategy. Keep in mind, that silly mistakes may cost you a lot.

One of the mix-ups many applicants make is that they complete the simple questions first and then they proceed to the tough questions. But this goes wrong in the preparation strategy. Applicants should dedicate a specific time frame for the most difficult questions and not to spend much time on them.

Candidates should keep in mind that they have to focus on accuracy along with time management. Aim for attempting questions with high accuracy.

Sickness because of a terrible way of life will consume valuable time and influence your certainty. Drink plenty of water and eat healthily and stay healthy.

Keep a bull's eye on the timer you are allotted to solve each problem. If a question is taking much time to solve and answer, leave it and jump over another. The key to success for time management is not to get stuck with a single problem and waste time over it.
