Language Comprehension section in the pen-paper and computer based AIMA-MAT is one of the most important score determiners and stands at par with other sections. Out of 200 questions in MAT, this section consists of 40 questions in MCQ format and is to be solved in suggested time limit of half an hour. MAT will be conducted on September 21, 2019, in offline mode and on September 14, 2019, in online mode.
MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to MBA/ PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. It is held 4 times a year at quarterly intervals. It will be used as admission criteria for MBA/ PGDM 2018-20 programs offered by more than 400 B-schools in India.
Language Comprehension with 40 questions in MAT carries maximum 40 raw marks out of total 200 marks with 20% weightage awarded to this section. The raw score is awarded as 1 mark per correct answer which becomes a maximum score of 160 after calculation of composite score of 800 for all the 5 sections on a scale of 1 to 100.
In Language Comprehension section of MAT 2019, there will be a few questions on the rearrangement of sentences of a paragraph. In each question, there will be four and six sentences, in jumbled form. You are required to identify the opening sentence, the conclusion and then arrange the remaining sentences in such a manner that the entire paragraph reads in a coherent manner.
