Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur recently announced that the LL.M program Admission to the institute for 2021-22 session will not be based on CLAT 2021. The new selection process for LL.M admissions has been briefed in the article below.
DNLU is one of the 22 NLUs (National Law Universities) that does admission on the basis of scores in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). All NLUs of India except NLU Delhi, do selection through CLAT UG and CLAT PG for their admission process.
For PG admissions of the 2021-22 academic session DNLU, Jabalpur has opted out of CLAT UG 2021.The announcement was made on July 10, through the official notification by the university. DNLU further clarified that it has opted out of the entrance test only for the session 2021-22. Now, the selection of candidates for the LL.M programme will be done through the new process finalised by the institute.
DNLU LL.M Admission 2021: Revised Process
The 2021 admission procedure for the LL.M programme has been revised by DNLU Jabalpur and the admissions will not be conducted through CLAT PG 2021 for the 2021-22 academic year. All details about the new procedure has been briefly explained below :
DNLU LL.M Admission 2021: Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board of education,further followed by a bachelor degree in law.
- The 5-year integrated law courses and 3-year LL.B after a UG degree are both acceptable for minimum qualification requirements.
- The candidate must have scored at least 55% of aggregate marks at the UG level.
- Applicants belonging to reserved categories get a 5% relaxation and thus they must have an aggregate score of 50%.
DNLU LL.M Admission 2021: Selection Process
- The candidates will firstly be shortlisted for LL.M at DNLU on the basis of marks scored in the UG law degree.
- The aggregate marks scored by applicants in their degree of BA LL.B/ B.Com LL.B/ BBA LL.B/ B.Sc LL.B/ 3 Year LL.B will also get considered for the admissions.
- All applicants will have to appear for the Personal Interview which will be conducted by the university.
- The final selection of candidates for admissions will be based on their aggregate score in the UG degree and performance in the interview round.
