DAVV to Grant PG Admission via CUET-PG From Academic Session 2022-23

New Delhi: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has decided to grant admissions to the postgraduate courses including two-year MBA courses through the common university entrance test (CUET-PG) for the academic session 2022-23.

DAVV, Indore will accept CUETPG scores to grant admissions to a total of 18 programmes, including all two-year MBA courses. Therefore, candidates seeking PG admission for the academic session 2022-23 will have to appear for the CUET-PG.

Recently, the UGC announced that all the central universities will have to grant admissions to the PG courses under the CUET-PG.

DAVV is one among the 42 universities, mostly central universities, which will grant admission in their PG courses based on the CUET scores.

Months after CUET 2022 for UG courses, the higher education regulator announced a separate CUET for admission in PG courses too.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the entrance examination. The application process for the CUET (PG) has also started from May 19, and the deadline to submit the online application is June 18, 2022.

The CUET will provide a single window opportunity to the candidates seeking admissions in the participating universities across the country. The CUET (PG) has been scheduled to be conducted through the computer based test (CBT) mode, tentatively in the third week of July, 2022.

Prof Kanhaiya Ahuja, Admission Cell Coordinator, DAVV, said that almost 35 central universities, six state universities and one deemed university will accept the scores of CUET (PG)-2022 for admissions to the postgraduate courses.

Further, DAVV is the only university from Madhya Pradesh which is participating in CUET (UG and PG) 2022, he added.

This year, a total of 1085 seats in postgraduate courses are lying vacant with seven teaching departments that will be filled through CUET-PG. The exam will be conducted in 567 exam centres in India and 12 other countries.

Apart from India, the CUET-PG will be conducted in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Nigeria, Indonesia, Singapore, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In Madhya Pradesh, the PG entrance exam will be conducted at centres in 32 districts.
