For the first time, due to the COVID-19 scenario, the entire admission process to undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs at Annamalai University, Chidambaram will be conducted online.

University Registrar (in-charge) Dr. N. Krishnamohan said that while parts of the admission process have gone online over the last three years, the student's physical presence will not be needed at any point this year except during admission to the departments.

Students can apply online at www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in for UG, PG, diploma, degree programs, and skill development programmes. Candidates can submit their testimonials when applying online. Document review will also be done online, based on merit, and qualifying students will be told directly via SMS, he said. Fee payments can also be made via e-payment — debit card, credit card or internet banking.
Students may apply online until August 17, 2020 and their physical appearance will only be needed to validate the candidates' identification during admission.
Annamalai University also explained that university engineering program admissions will be made through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) while MBBS and BDS admissions will be made through the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
The university must perform B.Sc. admissions counselling. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Pharm, D. Pharm and other aspects of paramedical training.
