    TSCHE has laid down some common eligibility criteria for candidates willing to get admission in engineering and agriculture undergraduate courses offered by TS EAMCET participating institutes. The table below shows the common TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria.

    passed the diploma in engineering held by State Board of Technical Education and Training Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh or its equivalent.
    For D.Pharma: passed or appeared in class 12 or its equivalent examination with PCM/PCB in BIE Telangana/Andhra Pradesh board
    Candidates should have secured at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in class 12 or its equivalent examination
    Local & Non-Local StatusLocal Candidates: Candidates who have resided or studied for a period of at least four consecutive years in an educational institute of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh up to their qualifying exam;
    Non-local Candidates: Candidates who do not satisfy the above TS EAMCET eligibility criteria 2021 along with candidates belonging to the OCI/ PIO category
    Qualifying Marks in TS EAMCET Candidates must secure at least 25% of the maximum marks in TS EAMCET in order to be considered or included in rank list.
    However, there are no minimum marks for reserved category candidates for inclusion in the rank list.

    *The lower, as well as the upper age requirement, might differ for various candidates depending on the course chosen. 

    NOTE: Only candidates who are included in the rank list are considered for admission through TS EAMCET 2023.However, there are no such requirements for reserved category students. 

    1. What is the meaning of Local Area in EAMCET?
    2. Local area in respect of Andhra University (AU area) includes Nagarjuna University area. In respect of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU area), it includes Sri Krishnadevaraya University area. In respect of Osmania University (OU area), it includes Kakatiya University area.
    3. What is the meaning of Local and Non-Local Status in EAMCET?
    4. Candidates are considered as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/ SUV/OU) if they have studied in an Educational Institution or Educational Institutions in such a local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years.

    A candidate is not regarded as a local candidate if they belong to the PIO/ OCI category.

    JNTUH segregates TS EAMCET eligibility standards as per courses offered. Listed below is the criterion for the exam as per the program opted:

    For Engg., Bio- Tech., B.Tech (Dairy Tech.), B.Tech (Ag. Engg.), B. Pharmacy, B.Tech (Food Sc. and Tech.) /B.Sc. (Commercial Agri. & Business Mgt.)

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates passed or appeared in 10+2 exam or any other exam recognized as equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as an optional subject from any recognized board of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002. Or
    • Candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of a diploma in engineering from any recognized board of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have cleared the qualifying exam with a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
    • For B.Tech (Dairy Technology/Agri. Engg./FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), candidates must be 17 years of age or more as or on December 31, 2023
    • The upper limit for admission to courses mentioned in the previous point is 22 years for general candidates and 25 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes as or on December 31, 2023.

    For B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for remaining 50% seats in B.Tech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA & BM)

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 or any examination recognized as equivalent by the Board of intermediate education, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh with any two /three of the subjects indicated against each course mentioned below.

    • Candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in TS EAMCET 2023, irrespective of subjects chosen by them in qualifying exam. 
    • Candidates must be at least of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2023, and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates as on December 31, 2023.

    For BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses under TS EAMCET 2023

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have successfully cleared or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Botany/Zoology which also includes a practical test in each subject.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored 50% (40% for reserved category) or higher in the qualifying exam.

    For B.Pharmacy Course (Remaining 50% of the seats)

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Zoology/Botany, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidates should obtain 45% marks or more (40% in case of candidate belonging to a reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

    For Pharm-D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates)

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed or appeared for 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognized board in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
    • Candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of the Diploma examination or equivalent in Pharmacy course from any recognized institute of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

    Ans. Candidates who wish to appear for TS EAMCET  2023 in Agriculture course must have Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with Biology/ Physical Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture as one of the optional subjects.
