MICAT 2023 Result for Phase I has been released on December 28, 2022 on the official website of MICA. MICAT 2023 Results can be downloaded using the login credentials at cdn.digialm.com. MICAT 2023 Result Highlights
- Students failing in the psychometric test are considered FAILED by the authorities. This rule is also applicable to the DCR section where there is no minimum cut off defined but the student must clear the section by obtaining a minimum of 50% marks.
- A valid score in any one of the national level management tests, namely, CAT, XAT or GMAT is mandatory.
- Every year nearly 1/10th of the total registered candidates qualify for the MICAT selection process.

- There is no release of an official MICAT answer key by the authorities.

There is no negative marking for the Descriptive section and Psychometric section. Thus, the students get only a probable score on the basis of the answer key released by institutes.

How to Calculate MICAT 2023 Scaled Scores?
- The marks scored individually by a candidate 'X' in a particular section of MICAT-I/MICAT-II, e.g. Verbal Ability (VA), will be converted into Scaled Score by using the sample formula for one of the components, i.e., VA:
- On similar lines scaled scores will be calculated for all the MICAT-I/MICAT-II components using sample formula in point i) namely: VA, QA, GA, DCR and DT.
- Total MICAT-I/MICAT-II score will be calculated using Scaled Scores for each of the MICAT components, which are: VA, QA, GA, DCR and DT.
Weightage Given to Different Rounds of MICAT 2023
Candidates who clear MICAT 2023 entrance exam, will have to take part in group exercise (GE) and personal interview (PI). The weightage that is given to each round is mentioned in the table that is given below:

Computation of MICAT Result 2023
- There is no negative marking for Psychometric and descriptive sections.
- Negative marks for incorrect answers in quantitative ability, verbal ability, general awareness, and divergent convergent reasoning section.

Shortlisting of candidates for GE- PI of MICAT 2023
- The first step to shortlist candidates for the next round of selection is the Psychometric test.
- Candidates who clear the psychometric test, they will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA), General awareness (GA) and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning (DCR) section.
- Once the candidates meet the requisite cut off of different sections, they will be assessed on the descriptive test
- Candidates who meet the parameters which are mentioned above, they will be called for GE/PI
- List of shortlisted candidates will be prepared on the basis of MICAT I and /or MICAT II or better of the two scores if a candidate appeared in both the exams.
MICAT 2023 Cut off
- MICAT 2023 Cut Off is the minimum qualifying marks which the candidates need to score in each section to be eligible for next round of selection.
- Officially the cutoff of MICAT is not announced by the authorities. However, if announced, it will be updated over here. In 2018, 3908 candidates appeared for MICAT out of the total 4,453.
- MICA does not release any official cut off list for admission in PGDM-C.
- Students who fail in clearing the minimum cut off list are not shortlisted for further MICAT Selection Process.

Factors affecting MICAT Cut Off
As MICAT cut off is declared only once both the test papers have been conducted. Thus the cut off depends on the following factors:
- Total number of registered candidates
- Difficulty level of the exam
- Scaled score calculation
- Maximum marks obtained by the candidates
MICAT 2023 Counselling/ Admission
As there are only 180 seats that are to be filled through the process of counseling, so students must be focused once the merit list is released by MICA. There are two ways of selection:
- 10% of the seats are filled on the basis of “spot allotment”
- Step by process of seat allotment through central counselling.
- In case 1, the institute may ask you to take admission in a course on the basis of your PI, GE and XAT/CAT/GMAT score directly. In this case, you do not have to appear for the counselling process, a course is selected for you on the basis of your choice and the domain best suited. The student must pay the admission fee immediately in this case and confirm the admission. In case, you do not accept the offer, it is terminated and you are free to join the regular counselling process.
- In case 2, the students are invited to MICA and they have to fill the course choices. The students have to wait for the final allotment list.
MICAT 2023 Admission Process for Foreign Nationals/ NRIs
MICAT 2023 selection process involves the following for Foreign Nationals or NRIs:
- The Foreign Nationals/ NRI candidates who desire to apply for MICAT have to give their GMAT ( 2018 onwards) scores.
- The personal interview process for the shortlisted Foreign Nationals or NRIs candidates is conducted via teleconference or videoconference in the month of March/ April 2023.
