IBSAT Syllabus 2022 is set by ICFAI Business School. The topics are similar to those of MBA exams such as CAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. IBSAT Syllabus consists of four major sections, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The section measures the candidates ability in English Language Comprehension and their mathematical ability.
IBSAT 2022 Syllabus is designed test understanding of the english language and mathematical aptitude. This year there is no general awareness section. IBSAT 2022 is expected to be entirely application based, and requires a lot of practise to be able to get right.

IBSAT 2022 English section will consist of 50 questions. Each question will be worth one mark. This is an extremely important subject for IBSAT, as it accounts for nearly 36% of the entire syllabus. Each question is time sensitive, so make sure you have enough practise. Not being aware of certain kinds of questions will result in you being flustered during the exam, so it is advisable to understand each question type.

This section will consist of 30 objective type questions, and each question will be worth one mark. For IBSAT, the verbal ability section and reading comprehension is scored separately. Generally, there are 4 passages. The length of the passages can be upto 600 words, and a person with average reading skills can read it in 4 minutes maximum.
The key point in this section is your timing. You should ideally be a fast reader, but at the same time you should be able to retain details from the passage. IBSAT Reading Comprehension section will consist of 3 passages worth 8 marks and one passage worth 6 marks. This means that there will be 8 questions in 3 passages and 6 questions in one passage. IBSAT Quantitative Ability consists of questions that will gauge your understanding of mathematics. This section will consist of 30 objective types questions. Here, the key factor that determines your score will be your accuracy and speed of calculations. INSAT Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation is heavily dependent on your accuracy and ability to interpret data. This section is mostly considered to be an easy section, since data visualisation is a skill that can be worked on quite easily with enough time and practise. Ans. You do not have to worry about a cutoff for IBS Hyderabad. Your IBSAT scores and individual subjects scores are not revealed to you. You will receive a direct call for GD-PI, which is a crucial factor in determining which IBS campus you will be allotted to. To increase your chances of getting a call, it is recommended that you attempt all questions during IBSAT as there is no negative marking. The competition begins with the GD-PI process, as IBS Hyderabad scans about 20,000 shortlisted candidates for over 10 days, out of which only 1200 students are selected for the main campus, while the rest are allotted to other campuses based on their individual preferences. To stand out in the process, you must work hard. If your goal is to get into IBS Hyderabad next year, it is advisable to focus on preparing for the GD-PI round. Ans. Your IBSAT score is not the only determining factor for admission to IBS Hyderabad. Your performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds, as well as your academic background, will also be considered. It is advisable to prepare well for these rounds. However, the return on investment (ROI) at IBS Hyderabad is relatively low. During the 2022 placement season, the college recorded a placement rate of 99%. The average package offered was INR 8.71 LPA, with the highest international and domestic packages being INR 53.45 LPA and INR 21 LPA, respectively. Despite these strong numbers, the cost of studying at IBS Hyderabad is relatively high, with students expected to spend 16 to 18 lakhs on their education. Additionally, given that the college enrolls over 1200 students each year, competition for placements and other opportunities is intense. One advantage of studying at IBS Hyderabad is the opportunity to network with a diverse group of students from all over India. Ans. Firstly, ISB Hyderabad has no cutoff whatsoever. In fact, the marks of ISBAT and individual subjects are not revealed ever. The eligible candidates directly receive a call inviting them to the GD-PI process. So attempting the test with full confidence and preparation is more than enough to get the call. Since there is no negative marking you can attempt as many questions as possible. The main struggle starts post-ISBAT if you get selected for GD-PI. From around 20000 shortlisted candidates only 1200 are selected for the main campus. So instead of ISBAT, your main focus should be on preparing for the GD-PI round. Anyone with decent aptitude skills can get shortlisted but only a few who have an extraordinary profile and stand out from the crowd can get selected during the GD-PI process. Read more
