BSE Odisha Exam Pattern 2023 along with syllabus has been released by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. As per the new assessment scheme, the current academic year will be split into two terms. The first term will be from May to October and the second term will be from November to April.

As per the Board of Secondary Education, 100% syllabus has to be followed in class 9 and 10 for both Madhyama, HSC courses and for State Open School Certificate courses for the academic session 2023. The Ex-Regular candidates of HSC, Madhyama and back candidates of the SOSC examination shall appear the examination during 2023 in the same syllabus. The question paper in all subjects will be the same for all categories of candidates.
Moreover, according to the latest announcement by BSE, Odisha Board Class 10 Examination will be conducted out of 80 marks instead of 100. The total marks of the paper would remain 100 only, however, they will be calculated as an average on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate out of 80. It is important that the students are aware of all the changes that are introduced by the BSE, so that they can prepare accordingly and score well. Knowing the details of the exam pattern will help students get a good score in the exams.

The students will have to appear in 7 subjects, the total marks for each subject would be 50, and the students will have to score a minimum of 15 marks in order to clear the examination.

Ques. How many marks will be offered for each objective type question ?
Ans. Students will be given 1 mark for each objective type question.
Ques. How many marks do I need to score to pass the exams ?
Ans. The students will have to score at least 15 marks in the objective type questions and 15 marks in the subjective portion in order to pass the exams.
