IRD GFSU Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Application Form

The Institute of Research and Development offers various postgraduate degrees in science stream. The courses offered include M.Sc, M.Tech, M.Pharm and PhD courses. Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university.

The basic eligibility requirement for M.Sc., M.Tech, M.Pharm courses are having a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
For a PhD degree, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field.
The admission process is completed via entrance exam.
Students with GATE scores are also given preference at the time of admission.

It is dedicated to the discovery, development and application of forensic science and provides excellent quality of research work. IRD GFSU also offers an M.Tech course in Civil Engineering in the full-time mode spread over 4 semesters.

The eligibility criteria for M.Tech is BE/B.Tech in Civil engineering with minimum 60% mark
Degree of the candidate should be from a recognized university
There are 15 seats for the M.Tech. programme in which 3 are reserved for NRI/sponsored candidates

Students are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam. Those who qualify in the exam will be listed in the merit list.

Students who qualify the GATE exam will also be given priority.

For M.S in Forensic Nanotechnology, eligibility is Bachelor's degree in any discipline of Science/ Medicine/ Engineering/ Pharmacy with minimum 55% marks
For M.S in Chemistry, eligibility is B.Sc. in chemistry with 55% marks
For M.S in Environmental Science and Environmental Management the candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Science (except mathematics and statistics), Medicine, Pharmacy, Environmental Science, Civil / Chemical / Environmental engineering with minimum 55% marks

Candidates must have obtained masters degree in any discipline of Science / Medicine / Engineering / Pharmacy with minimum 55%

Admissions will be done on the basis of marks scored in entrance exam conducted by the university
The Entrance test will be of 100 marks with one and half hour’s duration based on multiple choice questions.
Syllabus for the test will be basic questions of respective discipline of under graduation and general knowledge.

Fill the application form with required details
The duly filled form should be submitted with a Demand Draft of INR 1200 (Application fee) to the registrar of Forensic Sciences University
Candidates who have passed qualifying examination from other than Gujarat Forensic Sciences University are required to obtain eligibility certificate from GFSU with a fee of INR 500/-
Application fee can be paid in cash at the university or by NEFT/RTGS
