G.B. Pant Institute of Technology is a premier institute of Government of NCT of Delhi and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The Institute has 5 academic departments, namely Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, and Automobile. GBPIT will be starting with B.VOC programs.

The selection is done based on merit ranking in the Department of Training and Technical Education Common Entrance Test.
All the eligible candidates are given admission based on merit ranking.
The basic eligibility criteria for the admission in diploma course is the applicant should have passed 10th standard or equivalent conducted by CBSE with a minimum of 35% in Science, Mathematics, and English for lateral entry, 12th standard with vocational engineering stream with 60% marks or 10th standard in CBSE and 2 years Engineering from ITI or ITC with 60% aggregate marks.

GBPIT Delhi Scholarship

The government has introduced scholarships for meritorious students and or students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society. Some of the scholarships are mentioned below:

Merit Scholarship: INR 950 per month to applicant scoring 80% and above marks in the previous years' examination.
Merit-cum-Means scholarship: INR 700 per month to applicant scoring 70% and above marks in the previous years' examination and having family income of less than INR 2 lakh per year.
