The institute offers admission to the Bachelor of Science- Master of Science under 4 specializations. Higher Secondary examination qualified students can apply for admission. BS-MS Program is offered in 4 specializations:

1. Biological Science
2. Mathematical Science
3. Chemical Science
4. Physical Science

Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) qualified from a recognized board of education in science stream with 75% marks (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL) or 65% marks (SC/ST/PwD) are eligible for admission.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in the admission test conducted by the institute and selected candidates will further invited for admission. Here we are providing the following three channels for admission;

1. Candidates should be qualified in IISER Berhampur Entrance Exam.
2. Interested candidates with a valid score in JEE Advanced or KVPY are eligible for direct admission to this course.
3. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) fellowship commencing from the 2021-22 academic session is eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut-off criteria may be applicable.
4. The general category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced is eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBCNC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank should be within 10000.
5. After qualifying any of the above exams and filling the application form, candidates will be selected on the basis of merit of the above exams and academic marks.

The institute invites application form for admission to the Doctorate program. Students with Post Graduation Degrees in the relevant subjects can apply for admission to the course. The program is offered in 4 specializations:

1. Biological Science

4. Physical Science

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates have a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or in related subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
• Applicant’s age should not exceed more than 28 years at the time of joining. Age relaxation of 3 years will be given for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 5 years for SC/ST/PD/Female applicants.

Selection Criteria

• Those candidates who have cleared the UGC/ JRF /NET Exam or equivalent will be enrolled for the Ph.D. program in academics.
• Selected candidates list will be displayed on the official website and called for an interview.
• Candidate has to produce his/her PG Degree and mark sheet with the application form is filled is compulsory at the time of interview.
• Selected candidates can take admission on the required date.
• Reservation will be applied according to the Govt. of India norms. Relaxation of eligibility criteria for SC/ST and PD applicants will be as per Government of India norms. Candidates belonging to reserved category will have to submit relevant certificates if selected.
