Eligibility for First Year

The candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized University and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Candidate must have passed Mathematics or Statistics in their 10+2 or equivalent examination and at the Graduation level.

Eligibility for Second Year

The students at NMIMS have to successfully complete the first-year courses of both semesters with a minimum CGPA of 3 on a scale of 4 & students who do not get the minimum CGPA will not qualify for the dual degree program.

The school offers M.Sc + M.A.Economics (Dual Degree Program With Virginia Tech University)

Course Highlights:

• After the successful completion of both the years, the student will get 2 degrees, M.Sc. Economics from NMIMS & M.A. Economics from Virginia Tech.
• The courses are targeted to cater to the new age demands of the industry such as Big Data Economics, Behavioral Economics & Experimental Economics.
• The focus will be on experiential and skill-based learning to prepare students for the rapidly evolving modern economy.
• The M.A. program in Economics at Virginia Tech has the distinction of being housed in the College of Science. It is anticipated that like the PhD program at Virginia Tech, this program will be certified as a STEM program providing students with an Optional practical training of 3 years.
