IIT Ropar has shifted to its permanent campus at Rupnagar and currently operates from it. IIT Ropar unlike IIT Bhubaneswar is located far from the main city which has lesser facilities. Among Government colleges, IIT Ropar is ranked 11 by India Today. It also featured in the QS world ranking in 2018.
