Yashwantrao Chavan Law College, Pune, Maharashtra was established in the year 1978. Earlier known as BMS Parishad’s Law college, the college changed its name to Yashwantrao Chavan Law College in the year 1987, in the memory of our country’s great visionary leader, Late Shri Yashwantrao Chavan. The college provides a variety of UG, PG, and Diploma courses in Legal studies. The admission to its courses is offered on the basis of the marks or rank secured by the candidate in the MH-CET LAW examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Being one of the oldest institutions of the city, over the years the college has created a niche in the field of law education.

Yashwantrao Chavan Law College Admissions
For LLB/BA LLB
- The admissions are based on marks or rank secured by the candidate in the MH-CET LAW examination, conducted by the Government of Maharashtra.
- The candidates have to fill the application forms on the official website of the college by submitting all necessary details and by paying the requisite fees.
- Candidates qualifying for the entrance exam have to appear for a personal interview conducted by the admission committee of the college.
- The candidates will be offered admission on basis of their performance in the interview.
For LLM/Diploma programs:
- The candidates are given admission on basis of the marks secured by them in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates will be given admission on the basis of their merit and skills after verifying all their documents.

Yashwantrao Chavan Law College Scholarships
- The college provides merit-based scholarships on the basis of the student’s performance in the College tests, and Pune University Examination.
- Students belonging to backward castes (SC/ST) will be given fee concession as per the Government’s recommendation. To avail of this scholarship opportunity, the students should have regular attendance.
- Financial aid will be given to the poor and deserving students from the Student’s aid fund. The students need to apply for aid within the notified period.
