LMNU DDE offers a Master of Arts (MA) program for a duration of two years in 12 specializations. The admission dates for this course have not been announced by the varsity, it will be announced soon. LNMU Distance Education offers MA in Commerce, English, Hindi, Urdu, Maithili, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Education, Sociology, Home Science, Philosophy, Psychology.
The minimum duration of the DDE LNMU MA is 2 years and the maximum duration for completing the program is 4 years.
Printed study material is provided to the learner for both the theory and practical components. The study material includes instructions, illustrations, examples, and exercises.
The medium of instruction will be Hindi. Students can give the examination either in English or Hindi, it depends on their choice.
The program fee for DDE LNMU MA is INR 5000 per year.

DDE LNMU MA Eligibility Criteria

Students who want admission in MA of the Directorate of Distance Education in L.N Mithila University will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below

Admission is open to Indian students only.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.

DDE LNMU MA Admission Criteria

The admissions to the distance education program of LNMU are merit-based.
Seats are reserved as per the reservation policy of the Government of Bihar
Admissions depend upon the availability of seats in the program.

Candidates who want to take admission in the MA distance education program of LNMU will have to follow the given steps.

Click on ‘Apply Online. Fill in all the information carefully in the form.
Pay the fees of the course online through net banking, credit/debit card, OR DD.
Candidates paying their fees through DD can send the filled application form via post.
DD of the program fee will be made in the favor of LNMU Distance Education Fund A/C payable at Darbhanga.
DD of INR 100 for Gandhian Library will also be made in the favor of LNMU Distance Education Fund A/C payable at Darbhanga.

DDE LNMU MA Course Details

The 2 year MA program has been divided into 4 semesters. Two-semester examinations take place each year in June and December.

The directorate of distance education follows a credit system for all the courses.
Each credit in the LNMU distance education program is equivalent to 30 hours of student study comprising all activities including reading, comprehending the study material, attending counseling classes, and writing assignment responses.
A four-credit course involves 120 hours of study which has to be completed by the learner to complete the line MA distance education program.
To complete a program successfully it is necessary to complete assignments, practicals, projects, and term-end examinations in each program.
Self-assessment exercises are given within each study material.
In each subject, candidates will be evaluated in 16 papers, each paper will have 100 weightage.
The examination will be conducted in two parts. The students will be evaluated in 8 papers in each year of examination, each paper carrying 100% weightage.
70% weightage will be given to the written examination and 30% weightage will be given to assignments.
Each specialization in the MA program has 64 credits.
