Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) is a leading autonomous institution sponsored by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. It offers the Ph.D. program and undergraduate associateship to the aspiring candidates. The Ph.D. program is equivalent to M.Sc in Physics and Biophysical Sciences.
- The candidates can apply online for both the programs. They have to submit the application form online after filling the correct details.
- The minimum eligibility for admission in Post M.Sc in Physics and Biophysical Sciences is an M.Sc degree in Physics or Chemistry.
- For JRF in Physics and Post M.Sc in Physics, the admission is granted on the basis of candidates’ performance in JEST/ GATE in Physics/ CSIR or UGC NET.
- For Post M.Sc in Biophysical Sciences, the score in JGEEBILS/ CSIR/UGC/DBT or ICMR NET will be considered.
- Final selection is done on the basis of merit in the graduation examination and rank scored in the entrance examination followed by an interview.
- The minimum eligibility for admission in undergraduate associateship is a 10+2 pass with at least 80% aggregate marks in Science stream and the students must be the first-year undergraduate student of 3-year B.Sc program in Physics/Chemistry or Biological Sciences.
