Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering degree of four year duration. 10+2 pass students with science subjects are eligible to take admission in this course. Admission in most of the colleges offering Civil Engineering is done though any of the entrance tests conducted at national and state level.

Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 2 to 4 lakhs in most of the public institutes and 3 to 6 lakhs in private colleges. However there are some government colleges which offer this course at very less tuition fee.

1. All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one the following subjects: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology.OR

Those candidates who have passed their 10th or 10+2 examination with science stream and have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education. OR
3. The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
