The basic eligibility for DEM course is completion of 10+2 level of education. Students in the final year of their 10+2 can also apply for the course. They need to provide their scores within the given allotted time by the institute,
Eligibility for PGDE & PGDAME is completion of graduation after 10+2. Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply, provided they must be able to produce their original degree certificate at the time of joining the institute.

It completely depends on what kind of events you like to conduct in the future. When it comes to the NIEM Pune, the focus is more on corporate events and this, in turn, would give you more corporate and/or wedding planning experiences in practicality.
Whereas, as far as NIEM Mumbai is concerned, it focuses much more on the show business and exhibition aspects of event management. In the end, it entirely depends on what sort of events interest you more.
A friend of mine has worked with both the Pune and Mumbai branches so my knowledge comes from experience.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)sent directions for NIEM to shut down three of the courses that it offered in the Mumbai and Pune branches for not having the approval of AICTE and DTE.
It is advised for you to not consider both of these colleges for admission. Both colleges do not take responsibility for their unprofessional actions and this is why it is suggested to not choose any of them.
NIEM Mumbai is a great institute for Event Management. The faculties at the institute are great and they offer good practical training. One of my friends attended the institute and vouched for their PG Event Management course.
With theoretical learning, make sure to participate in freelancing activities that will come your way. These activities can be very beneficial. The more you participate in the events the more contacts you have the chance of getting in touch with. Practical knowledge is more efficient it will go a long way in the improvement of your skills.
Participating in these events is also instrumental in bagging a job and kick-starting your own company.
It is suggested that you fact-check whether these institutes offer BBA courses in Events or offer a diploma in events because as per online reports, both of these institutions do not offer BBA courses as it is a degree course and an Institute cannot offer degrees to its students.

Both NIEM and NAEMD are adequate educational institutions. When practical experience is taken into account, NIEM outperforms it. NIEM Mumbai is superior, but you should also consider NIEM Kolkata.
