Eligibility Criteria :

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three years degree programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std. XII) conducted by the different divisional boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination with vocational subjects, minimum competency based vocational programme conducted by the different divisional boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed an examination of another university or body recognized as equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination.(Circular No.UG/142 of 2010 dated July, 1, 2010.)

How strict is the attendance policy in KJ Somaya College of Science and Commerce for FYJC and SYJC?

Attendance is not a major issue at KJ Somaiya. Yes, there is an attendance rule at KJ Somaiya, but the authorities are not very strict about it.

The rule state that you should have at least 75% attendance but I have few friends at the institute who don’t even have 50% attendance.

But, if you are pursuing science see to it that you attend the Practical sessions so that you can score good marks in the Practical examination and complete your Journals or Manuals.

Actually, the scenario is quite similar to that in FYJC and SYJC. SYJC is quite lenient about attending lectures, however, they are pretty strict about practicals. Yes, but the college has good teaching faculty.

KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce:-

It is a premier autonomous educational institute located in Mumbai. The institute offers various courses, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the disciplines of Arts and Commerce.

Admission Criteria: The eligibility criteria for pursuing admission for BMS is 10+2 from a recognized university and the total fees required for pursuing the BMS course are INR 71,755.
Placements: The highest CTC offered at the institute is around INR 27.50 LPA, however, the average CTC is INR 10.05 LPA. Few of the major recruiters at the institute are Angel Broking, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries Ltd., Reliance, ICICI Prudential, Kotak Mahindra Bank, etc.

KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce:-

KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses to its students under various specializations. The admission in UG and PG are merit-based, while for Ph.D. the students must qualify the UGC NET exam.
