Cgc transforming life

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is weel and good. The classes are upto date with the technology and several other activities has been performed in the classes make sure that the study is not boring . All the facilities such as hostel, transport
and mess is weel and good. There are other spaces in the campus to enjoy your day such as pool and snooker , food complex such as nescafe,chai sutta bar etc .

What I didn’t like

The management is a bit more strict on the basis of attendance. If you are not regular they are going to call your parents . You are not allowed to bunk lectures . The top floor of the buildings are heated up in summers and don't have aur conditioner

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good . If you are giving your 100 percent, you are a good contender of getting a job . Other factors also came into action like communication skills and personality. Highest package recieved

Remarks:

I applied for DU by giving by cuet exam but unfortunately I didn't able to score good marks there. The admission process of this college starts with your orientation then you have a tour of your classes and campus via college mini cars. They just checked 12th score

Affordable not many facilities college

What I Liked

There are no ragging cluture in our college. Our college is fully raging free. Also our college is very affordable for middle class students easily
In our college the teacher student relation is also very good
In our college there are many events and punjab actors and singers came

What I didn’t like

The faculties are not much skilled as I expected
The classroom doesn't have AC facilities so in hot summer days it's hard to study
There are not many shops as much as there are students

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is affordable for middle class but they didn't have much facilities there are no ac service in our college. I am in computer science but the computer is not too highly specialized to perform big data analysis

Remarks:

The admission process is simple if you just want to take admission in this college then there is not any entrance test but if you want scholarship in our college then you have to take josh scholarship test

What I Liked

The faculty members are most liked by the students
The greenery of the college also attract the students
The campus and infrastructure is also adorable

What I didn’t like

The parking area spot is not much good..
The 75 percent attendance rule is very bad
The teachers are teaching too much theortical concepts

Placement Experience:

Students of the last year are eligible for the placement session. The companies like google, Amazon, adobe, the math company, wipro etc. Recruit on a mass amount. The highest package is 45 lakh and the average package is 6lpa

Remarks:

The admission process is as follows The eligibility criteria is as There should be minimum 60 percent of the marks in class 12th for the admission. We can get the admission form on the official website of the college

Which campus of CGC is better and why? Landran or Jhanjeri?

Both the campus has their own merits and demerits. Go through the following points to find out.

Hostels: Jhanjheri campus has hostel rooms more spacious and has better bedding accessories than Landran. Overall Jhanjheri hostels have better bathrooms, gym, common room, food, mess facilities than Landran.
Festivals: Festivals are better at Jhanjheri and many celebs come to the campus to perform.
Faculty: As Jhanjheri is the new campus, most of the good faculties go to Jhanjheri.
Placements: Placement companies come to Landran but that’s not an issue as it is a joint placement drive and Jhanjheri students participate in it as well.
Transportation: Jhajhri campus is 7km away from Landran, and you won’t get a bus to Chandigarh or any nearby cities for the campus. You have to take an auto from Jhanjheri to Landran or Kharar.
Small Campus: The Jhanjheri campus is smaller than Landran but it offers better facilities.
Less Crowded: Jhanjheri campus is less crowded. It can be a good thing or a bad thing based on how you perceive it.

These are the basic difference between the two campuses. Now, it’s up to you to choose which is better for you.

My cousin studies at CGC Jhanjeri and it's a nice and average place to be. Following are some issues though, which may be burdensome:

If you wish to go out during college hours then you will need to get an application signed by the CC and the HOD. The process itself will take up a lot of time.
Girls can stay out up to 7 pm in summers and 6 pm in winters and you can step out to roam in the campus by 4:30 and you will have to return in two hours to avoid sending a call home.
You should have at least a 75% attendance like most colleges, but it will be evaluated every 15 days. You will have to attend 75% of 15 days to avoid detention during the Monthly Sessional Tests of MSTs.
The campus is verdant and hygienic and it has a playground, but it is surrounded by grasslands on all sides up to 5 Kms. It has all the basic amenities like stationery shops, sports ground, pool, games room, etc.
Even transportation is an issue and autos and buses are the only way but quite time-consuming.

Hostel, mess food, cleanliness, room Sharing are not any issues at all. You will not have to worry about ragging too. You can go to Chandigarh for shopping after getting your passbook filled and signed by the Warden.

However, you cannot bunk because the campus is small, you can get discovered very easily and may face some good punishment. As for placements, it all depends upon research-based hard work and skills. Major companies do visit for recruitment.

Which is a better college among CSE, GNDU Amritsar, and CGC Landran, according to placement?

CGC Landran is the better option for CSE. The department has a good faculty base. The professors try their level best to cooperate with students. There are regular CR meetings, to resolve the problems students are facing. The institute organizes TPP lectures, and training sessions from the first year, itself.

CSE has a 100% placement rate. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, TCS, etc. visit CGC Landran campus placements regularly. The average package for the branch is around INR 3-4 LPA.

CGC Landran and CGC Jhanjeri are the same and run by the same management. The faculties of the college are also the same. The placements for both campuses take place at the same time. The students sit together for their placements.

I have a few friends at both institutes and most of them recommend Chandigarh Engineering college Landran campus over Jhanjeri campus because this campus is the oldest, the environment is good, and it is located near to Mohali.

CGC Landran is better in terms of infrastructure and faculty members as well. The CSC department of this college is good. According to the recent placement highlights the average and highest CTC offered at the institutes is 7 LPA and 35 LPA.

Which one is good for a B.Tech, CGC Landran or CGC Jhanjeri?

Choose CGC Landran, if you are getting your proffered branch. It is the main campus. Other than this fact, there are no such differences between the two campuses. Academics, faculty, and facilities offered are almost similar in both. CGC Landran placements are the same as CGC Jhanjeri. As students sit for the same placements dive.

LPU will provide you with the best infrastructure and a great environment for skill development and would be the potential choice over CGC Jhanjeri. Although the teaching members are excellent, there is still a significant number of illiterate educated people.

Campus:

The college is technologically advanced, with everything from daily class attendance to the timetable available online.
The campus offers unlimited WiFi access 24x7 as well as a close student monitoring system that provides parents with monthly reports on their children's progress.
There is a 6-floor library, 10 department libraries, Shopping Mall, Coffee shops, Night Club, Hotel all inside the 900-acre campus.
Extracurricular activities do happen often like sports events, cultural events, entrepreneurship, on-the-job training, project-based learning, and celebrity events.

Lab Facilities:

LPU offers the best lab facilities, with each subject having its lab.
Each stream has its laboratory section, complete with world-class equipment and advanced research laboratories.

Placement:

LPU Alumnican be found in most top worldwide brands such as Apple, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bank of America, and others with packages worth more than a crore rupees.
You will be trained in aptitude, reasoning, government exam preparation, soft skills and language training, and interviewing skills beginning in the second year and continuing for 1-1.5 years until they gain jobs.
Every year, on average, 200 MNCs visit our campus, recruiting around 2000 students. Depending on your skills, packages can range from 3.33 LPA to 30 LPA.

The faculty of the college is highly experienced and specialized in their respective field.

There are various student fests and recreational activities by clubs for holistic development.
