I have chosen Ai&Ml, As we know it's the future. That was the reason Faculty:Student 1:6 is the ratio Most of the faculties are Phd graduates. Decent teaching standards. Not the best one A sem exam appears in 3 months once. and its quiet easy to pass the exams. But attendance above 80% is compulsory to write exams. They are strict about it

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course BE Bioinformatics because I was a Bioscience student in 12th grade, and was intrested in computers. So choose bioinformatics. Good faculty-student ratio. Every 20 students get a personal mentor, who helps us inside the college in every aspect. Faculty minimum qualification id Phd in their department. A very friendly connection between student and teacher. Easy learning and completing all subjects with practical knowledge.

I have chosen it because of demand and the growth in future When it comes to classes it contains 40 students per teacher. the teaching was good and all are well trained and qualified faculty. When it comes to exams it is somewhat difficult to pass and the only way to get a pass is by studying.

A few of my friends studied at Saveetha School of Engineering and they did not have a good experience at the institute. Here are some of their input regarding the institute.

  • The management is not that good and they don’t cooperate well with parents.
  • If you have any quire regarding the institute at the time of admission, it is likely to get ignored.
  • My friend who is a female started from her place at 11 pm and reaches the campus before 6 am because there’s no train/bus after 11 pm. Instead of addressing the transport issue, they did not allow her to enter the campus because the rules say so. At last, she has to sit on-road and wait till the college opening time.
  • The hostel fee structure is increased every year.
  • The only good thing you can get there is placement. No doubt they are good but you can better placements in good colleges with a good environment.
  • According to a few of my friends, most of the experienced faculties left the institute and there is the mostly Fresher staff.

So, it will be better to consider other options for your degree.

One of my cousins graduated from Saveetha School of Engineering and here are some things you should keep in mind.

There are 2 institutions - Saveetha School of Engineering (SSE) and Saveetha Engineering College (SEC). It is suggested that it will be better if you join the SEC. Both have the same names but few differences.

SSE –

  • Students don't learn good communication skills.
  • They have a mediocre faculty.
  • The classes have too many students, which hampers teacher-student interaction.
  • After graduating from here, there is no value of the certificate.
  • The placements are not good at all.
  • In case of any error in your answer sheets, you have to pay INR 8000/- for each paper.

SEC –

  • SEC provides good communication skills to their students.
  • Their faculty is also highly experienced.
  • The batch size is 30 in each class. This encourages student-teacher interaction.
  • After completing 4 years, you get Anna university’s certificate, which adds value to your studies.
  • The placements here are really good. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, IBM participate in their placement program.
  • In case of any error in the answer sheets, you pay INR 150/- for each paper.
Categories SSC SEC
Course Fee 2 lakhs 6.15 lakhs
Highest CTC 7 LPA 6-8 LPA
Average CTC 3 LPA 3.5 LPA

Finally, it is suggested that if you want a good college life join SEC, which is affiliated to Anna University.
