Q: What sort of marking scheme is followed in IPU-CET?

Maharaja Surajmal Institute is a private was established in the year 1999 and its courses are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi. Its courses are approved by AICTE and NAAC.

MSI offers Bachelor’s Courses in B.Com. (Hons.), BCA, B.Com. and B.Ed. The BBA and BCA courses are offered in two shifts whereas B.Ed. and B.Com. (Hons.) are offered in one shift. The application for admission to the courses is through online registration on the official GGSIP University website.

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Master’s degree in-

How to Apply for MSI New Delhi?

Eligible candidates applying for B.Com., BBA, BCA, and B.Ed. programs offered by the MSI have to fill an online application form for admissions. The application process is common to the courses offered as follows:

Visit the official website of GGSIP University to register for the entrance exam for admission.
Duly fill the application form and add the necessary details.
The cost of the application form is INR. 1000/- which can only be remitted online.
Candidates will be required to appear in the IPU-CET entrance test on a given date.
Upon declaration of result and merit list, applicants will be called for an interview and are required to opt for choices in institutes.
Candidates may select MSI, New Delhi for admission.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for further admission process consisting of physical counseling.

Ques. What documents need to be uploaded in the Online Application Form?

Ans. One needs to upload scanned copies of a recent passport-size color photograph, specimen signature, and left thumb impression in .JPG/.JPEG/.GIF format and of file size less than 80 kb.

Ques. How to pay the counseling fees?

Ans. IPU CET Counseling fees can be paid both online and offline. Online payment can be made from the applicant login on the official website, via Payment Gateway, using Net Banking/Debit or Credit Cards. In case of offline payment, a cash challan can be downloaded from the applicant login on the official website, details filled in and cash deposited at the bank/branch specified on the challan.

Ques. Can the IPU CET application form be obtained directly the university campus?

Ans. No, one cannot purchase an application form from the university campus as the forms are available in the online mode only.

Overall MSI is best college to explore and learn in BCA department

Remarks:

IPU conducts an exam IPUCET and for general students, you need to score rank under 250 to secure your seat in MSI BCA. For the reserve category you need to score at least under 1000 to get a seat in at least evening shift

Dark side of msi janakpuri

Remarks:

We have write CET(commen entrence exam ) of Ggsipu it is a M.C.Q based paper generally it's not that tough but contain basic . For CET exam your have to keep updated adout application form opening and closing and in result they provide rank accordingly to previous year cutoff and we have to fill college choses

Overall a good college if you want to pursue Bca

Remarks:

Eligibility is minimum marks in English maths(if taken in 12). Gave Ip cet exam for bca which can be applied for on the official IPU website. Reservation is available. Cutoff went for around 500 rank in CET for bca shift 2. The admission process was smooth.

One of my friends studied there and according to him and his classmates it isthe worst institute to pursue a BBA degree.

Below are the points mentioned which will prove why they have such an aversion towards this institute:

Attendance is the major issue. You need to maintain at least 75% attendance. The professors can detain you at 74% attendance.
There are only two streams - BBA (General) and BBA (Banking & Insurance).
There are a total of six subjects in each semester. The faculty is not so good.
Mugging up is better than understanding the topic.
The infrastructure of the institute is outdated. The top floor is the administrative block, and the ground floor is for the campus.
No enthusiasm is shown for extra-curricular activities.

The college environment is a mix of decent students and dull students from various schools. MAIT and other below-average colleges conduct the seminars. The college timing is from 8:10-1:30, with a 20 minutes break at 11:00. There are six classes in a day. It feels similar to a school.

A B.Com from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies will be better. The rules and regulations regarding academics at Maharaja Agrasen are more lenient. While Maharaja Surajmal Institute has strict rules for attendance and uniforms, etc. The placement scenario is similar at both institutes. According to the recent highlights of MAIMS Placements, B.Com students usually receive an average CTC of around INR 3 LPA. Reliance Communication, Deloitte, etc. are among the top recruiters for the course.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology has been ranked 18th for Private Engineering by India Today Rankings 2020. The college offers B.Tech in Information Technology as a four-year course. The fees for the same is 4.69 Lakhs for the full period.

St. Fransis Institute of Technology is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college offers B.Tech in Information Technology as a four-year course. The fees for the same is 5 Lakhs for the full period.

LNM Institute of Technology (LNMIIT) is a deemed university and has been recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE, ARIIA and AISHE. It has been accredited ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. The college was ranked 57th for private engineering by India Today and 77th for Engineering by The Week. The college provides Communication & Computer Engineering as a four-year course at a fees of 12.36 lakhs.

Admission Procedure

MSI:The minimum eligibility criteria for the course is having cleared 10+2 examinations with 50% aggregate. Further, students are selected on the basis of rank secured in IPU-CET, the common entrance examination for IPU colleges. The course has a total of 180 seats available.
SFIT: The minimum eligibility criteria for the course is having cleared 10+2 examinations with 50% aggregate. Further, students are selected on the basis of rank secured in MHT-CET. The college offers 120 seats for the course.
LNMIIT: The eligibility criteria for candidates for ECE is 60% marks in their 10+2 examinations. Candidates are further selected on the basis of their score in JEE Main. The college offers 120 seats for the course.

Infrastructure & Facilities

MSI:

The college is built over an 8-acre campus and is home to a well-equipped library which includes journals, study material, magazines and various e-learning facilities.
The college provides boys and girls hostels and sporting and art & cultural facilities available.
Other facilities such as an auditorium, gym, and cafeterias are also available to the students.

SFIT:

The college is built over a 5-acre campus and provides in-campus hostels.
Sporting facilities, laboratories, cafeterias, gym facilities, and shuttle service for students is provided by the institute.

LNMIIT:

The college is built over a massive 100-acre campus and provides in-campus hostels.
Sporting facilities, laboratories, cafeterias, a gym, Wi-Fi facilities, recreation rooms, medical facilities and shuttle service for students is provided by the institute.

Placements

MSI:The course has a placement rate of 80%. Top recruiters include Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Infosys and Google. The average offer received by students is 5LPA. The highest package goes up to a whopping 20LPA.
SFIT: The course has a placement rate of 80%. Top recruiters include L&T, Capgemini, TCS and Wipro. The average offer received by students is 3.5LPA. The highest package goes up to 14LPA.
LNMIIT: The course has a placement rate of 95%. Top recruiters include Amazon, Oyo, Uber and Adobe. The average offer received by students is 10LPA. The highest package goes up to a whopping 36LPA.

All 3 colleges stand toe-to-toe with one another, being the top private MBA institutes in the country. The colleges have a similar admission procedure. LNMIIT has a bigger campus, costlier fees structure, better placement packages, and rankings compared to the other two. However, MSI and SFIT are much cheaper and provide decent placements. A choice among the three depends upon the importance of each parameter for the student.
