College of Engineering, Cherthala offers B.Tech in three specializations. The minimum eligibility is 50% marks at 10+2 level.

Admissions are done on the basis of performance in KEAM entrance exam. Candidates with a relevant Diploma degree can get a lateral entry (LT) to the second year of B.Tech. A separate entrance examination is conducted for such candidates.

College of Engineering, Cherthala offers two specialized M.Tech courses. Candidates eligible for applying to M.Tech courses in CEC must hold a valid B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized university. The selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

CEC Cherthala Application Process

The application process criteria for B.Tech degree admission is prescribed by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Govt. of Kerala and the concerned university. The application form is released every year by Govt. of Kerala through a common prospectus for admission to professional degree courses. Candidates have to visit the official website of CEE, Kerala for more details.

For the admission to M.Tech degree, candidates need to follow these steps:

Visit the official website of DTE Kerala
Submit an application to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and indicate their choice of institution in Annexure B of the form.

AND

Apply separately apply for M.Tech admission at CEC, Cherthala, following the instructions which will be updated on the official website of the college.

50% of seats are designated as free-ship seats for which the fee is collected at a lower rate.
35% seats are designated as full-fee seats for which the fee, as proposed by the Fee Regulatory Committee, is charged, with a concession if any, approved by Government of Kerala.
The remaining 15% seats are filled under NRI quota based on their marks at 10+2 level.
5% of students are admitted in each discipline under Fee Waiver Scheme (FWS) with tuition fee concession.
