Dayanand Anglo Vaidik Mahavidyalaya was established on July 11, 1919 at Kanpur. All the courses are offered by the college are approved by CSJM University and are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
The College offers Under Graduation through B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. programs and Post-Graduation in M.A., M.Sc., and M.Com along with Research Programs (Ph.D.) in all specializations which are offered at the Master’s Level. It offers direct admission to the programs.
- Students applying for any of the course must visit DAV College, Kanpur campus to get the application form.
- Candidates applying in B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. courses must have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks in qualifying exam.
- Applicants to M.A., and M.Com. courses are needed to clear Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 45% marks in qualifying exam.
- Admission to M.Sc. course except the specialization in Statistics is based on the common entrance exam conducted by CSJM University.
- Selection of eligible candidates will be based on merit in the previous qualifying examination.
- Those who are seeking admission to B.Ed. program must clear 3-years bachelor’s examination to be eligible for admission.
- Admission to Ph.D. course is based on merit in Master’s or M.Phil. Degree courses followed by interview.
- Admission to SC/ST/OBC candidates is offered based on the reservation rules specified by the government.
