St. Joseph’s College of Pharmacy is a prestigious institute offering quality education in the field of pharmacy studies in Cherthala, Kerala. It was established in year 2002 and affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences.
St. Joseph’s College of Pharmacy currently offers D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm in three specializations and Pharm D degree courses.
- Candidates seeking admission to the Pharm D course must obtain at least 50% marks in 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized HS board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology as compulsory subjects.
- Alternatively, candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in D.Pharm examinations conducted by an institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) are also eligible to apply.
- For B.Pharm course, applicants need to score a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology/Maths/Computers as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates seeking lateral entry admission in B.Pharm second year must successfully complete D.Pharm program with at least 50% marks in aggregate from an institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Candidates interested in pursuing the D.Pharm course from the college must pass 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology as compulsory subjects.
- D.Pharm applicants who have completed V.H.S.E (Vocational Higher Secondary Education) course from 1994-95 session with Group A and B subjects are also considered eligible for admission. (Group A- NCERT approved Physics, Chemistry Maths syllabus; Group B- NCERT approved Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus).
- 50% seats for the D.Pharm course are filled on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Rest of the 50% seats are filled by management quota.
- Candidates applying for the M.Pharm course must obtain at least 50% marks in B.Pharm examination conducted by an institute affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) or any other university exam recognized by the KUHS.
- Candidates are admitted on the basis of academic merit.
- The application form and prospectus can be collected from the college admission office on payment of a small fee or requested by post.
- Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC-non creamy, Physically Handicapped, Minority candidates based on the guidelines specified by the Government of India and Government of Kerala.
