MYRA School of Business requires a CAT score for shortlisting students for PGDM. Apart from CAT, the institute also considers a valid score in XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE and MYRA Entrance Test (MET) exams conducted by the school. However, the final selection is based on various components. The school assigns points to each one of them based on the performance of students.
Case Study plays an important role during the selection process. Applicants with excellent case studies are given 10 points.

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% and above, from a recognized institution, is a pre-requisite. Your subject background, extra-curricular activities, awards, and recognitions are also considered during evaluation. Good academic standing is a prerequisite and carries a 25% weightage in the admission decisions. For SC, ST, OBC candidates the qualifying criteria are as per AICTE norms.
NOTE – The institute gives preference to candidates who have work experience, though it is not mandatory.
The Office of Admissions evaluates the applicant’s academic records and standings to ensure that the applicant qualifies for the program of choice. Academic profile carries a 25% weightage on admission decision and is an important pre-requisite to joining programs.
The office of Admissions also evaluates the applicant’s entrance test score in any of the accepted qualifying exams (CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA). If an applicant does not have an entrance score or if an applicant does not meet the qualifying scores in an entrance exam, they are invited to take the MYRA Entrance Test (MET) online.
The MET is an online test that can be taken from any location at any time and is a 60-minute test with 50 questions, scored out of 50. The test consists of 20 questions from quants, 20 questions from verbal, and 10 questions on logical reasoning; with no negative marking. Each correct question awards a student 1 point. The entrance test score is a mandatory requirement to apply for the full-time programs and carries a 25% weightage in the admission decisions.
On qualifying with an academic profile and entrance test scores, applicants are offered a one-page case on a ‘business model’ depending on the program of choice. Applicants are expected to submit their understanding and analysis as a presentation, which is followed by a case analysis interview. Case Analysis is an important assessment that lets the Office of Admissions evaluate a candidate’s thought process, critical thinking, and program alignment; and carries a 25% weightage in the admission decision.
Applicants who qualify with academic profile, entrance test, and case analysis are invited for an admission interview either online or on-campus. The admission interview is the most important deciding process for admission to the programs and carries a 25% weightage for admission decisions. Admission interviews assess the candidate’s fitment to the program based on background, aspirations, and program outcome objectives. Based on the candidate profile, 1 or 2 rounds of admission interviews may be offered.
