University College of Engineering was established in 1937 and it is affiliated to University of kerala.The  college was established motive of becoming a model institution for technical education in the State. The college has also served as a model in several matters including the fee structure. Ever since its inception, the college has maintained a high level of academic performance and in the last three years, the students of the college have secured at least one top position each in the B.Tech examinations.

  • The Training and Placement Unit collaborates with the Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension to conduct Career guidance sessions. This has resulted in a good number of students getting placements well in advance of completion of their course
  • The college also admits students under the NRI quota . Foreign students also choose this college for their studies
