Established in July 2006, The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Dehradun is a co-educational institute set up by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India under its Grants-in- Aid scheme. It is an autonomous university, affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and certified by HACCP. The institution provides various UG, short term Diploma courses and a PG Diploma course.

The College offers one Undergraduate, three Diploma and one Postgraduate Diploma course. Students are required to check the eligibility criteria available on the official website.

For admission to B.Sc, students need to appear for the NCHMCT JEE examination held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

IHM Dehradun UG Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board with English as compulsory subjects or General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination at Advanced level.
The candidates have to appear for NCHMCT-JEE.
The age limit for candidates belonging to General category is 25 years and for SC/ ST candidates are entitled to relaxation of three-year in upper age limit.

Candidates applying to Diploma courses are required to submit the first term fee along with the required documents and the completed application form.
The application form needs to be submitted by post to the given address.
The application and the first term fee can be submitted online through the official website or through a demand draft.
Students applying for the UG course need to submit their documents to the NCHMCT counselling website after they are selected in a seat allotment round.

Ques. How is the placement drive of IHM Dehradun?

Ans. IHM Dehradun has its own Training and Placement cell which carries out on and off campus placement drives every year with students getting placed in companies like ITC, Oberoi, Taj, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Imperial. Around 90% students are successfully placed in each session. Students are required to complete internships during their course under a mentor in a relevant field. The average salary offered is 20K per month.
