The college offers four specializations in the field of engineering at undergraduate level. For B.Tech candidates should have passed 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Electronics / Computer science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. Lateral Entry admissions are strictly filled through OJEE followed by state level web based counselling. The basic eligibility criterion is three years diploma in engineering or technology.

Selection will be on the basis valid score obtained in OJEE or JEE Main. Candidates who wish to pursue B.Tech may register for OJEE counselling through the official website.

Key Point for Admission:

75% of college seats of B.Tech course shall be filled through merit list of OJEE.
5% of the seats are filled through merit list of JEE Main.
The remaining 10% seats are filled up through both OJEE and JEE candidates.
OJEE, conducted by Odisha Education Board, is a state level examination for admissions into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by government and private institutions.

Admission to Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi will be as per BPUT norms.

Candidates can fill the application form for OJEE through the official website.
Application fees of INR 1000 can be paid through debit card / credit card in online mode or via State Bank of India e-challan in offline mode.
Candidates seeking admission in the college must register for OJEE counselling by paying INR 450.
OJEE counselling has been initiated from June 14, in an online web based mode.
Candidates allotted a seat must deposit admission fee of Rs.25000/- to show their acceptance. Deposit can be made at any branch of State Bank of India or Axis Bank by challan.
Candidates have to report at the nodal center for document verification.
