Osmania University's College of Technology was established in 1969.College is situated in the main campus of Osmania University. In 1951, the subject of Chemical Engineering was introduced and the Department was redesignated as the Department of Chemical Technology. In 1954, four year degree courses were introduced leading to the Bachelors’ degrees in Chemical Technology and Chemical Engineering. In order to meet the changing requirements of the country, the B.Tech. Degree courses in Food Processing and Preservation Technology and Textile Technology were started in the College during 1994-95
- Vision of the college is “To generate and disseminate knowledge through a harmonious blend of ancient and modern wisdom, to serve the society by developing the students with good interpersonal skills and Managerial aptitude”
- Mission of the college is “To empower through knowledge and information relating to application of new Design concepts with latest know how means”
- The College has been identified for Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP- II) for strengthening of PG Programs, Research Activities and Faculty Development
- Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India has sanctioned Rs 40 Lakhs for a research programme in collaboration with National Institute of Nutrition and Department of Bio-Chemistry, Osmania University, in Food Technology
