According to my friends studying at this college, there are both advantages and disadvantages attached to it. So let us look at these and then decide if it is worth something or not.  Advantages -  The facilities of the college are appreciable.  Good quality food is served including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea time.  Hostel rooms are cleaned and well ventilated along with the cupboards.  The library is full of books and the faculty provides the notes preparing for exams.  Also, you can avail yourself of bus facilities that cover most parts of the city.  Most importantly the toppers of departments are rewarded with cash prizes. Disadvantages -  Since you are spoon-fed in college you don't develop your thinking skills and this hampers your overall growth and performance.  There are no extra-curricular activities involved.  You are not allowed to take your mobile phones, if you want to talk to your parents or guardians, you have to talk through a landline.  The placement cell is not very active, for getting recruited in some company you should be excellent in all your skills.  Moreover, the interaction between girls and boys is strictly prohibited. So through overall analysis, we can say that besides providing good quality education to students, the atmosphere for learning is not very appreciable

The comparison between SRM Easwari and Panimalar can be drawn with the help of the following headings: Education: Panimalar can make your studies too stressed as per some students. You will be very relieved after graduating from here. SRM Easwari Engineering College is good but it's just an Easwari Engineering college. The curriculum does not stress the students a lot. If you study well, you can survive. The faculty members are always ready to help you. Internal Examinations: According to some students, you will surely be rewarded a minimum of 15–16 in Panimalar. While the case for SRM Easwari is not the same. You will have to study to gain every single mark. You would have to deserve your position by studying and scoring well in exams. Transportation: Bus Services are available for students of Panimalar for a smooth process of transportation. In SRM Easwari you can have the MTC, transport (bike/car), and the college bus (AC/ Non-Ac). Campus: Panimalar is situated outside the city area and the campus life does not offer as compared to SRM Easwari. The Easwari campus on the other hand may be small but is situated in the city and it's too good to pass time because theatres and malls are available for fun lands. Fees: The fee structure at Panimalar is according to the guidelines received from the government. SRM has a brand name and thus it charges a lot, be it for the book fees or the transportation. It also provides placement training and software classes to students that can be utilized effectively for recruitment drives. In conclusion, SRM Easwari Engineering College is considered to be better than Panimalar.

Out of the two colleges, Panimalar College is good for Mechanical Engineering. The faculties are well educated and well qualified that deliver the best lectures to promote conceptual learning but the environment is quite strict. The college offers placement for almost every student with the highest package 15-20 LPA and an average package of 4.5 LPA, as per recent statistics. The fees of the college are also affordable. Getting admission in Panimalar has an edge over Rajalakshmi in terms of placement, quality of education provided, type of faculty, study environment, and most important of all fee structure. Get out of your comfort zone and search for the various options suitable for you for your holistic development.

Velammal Engineering College ranks 4th among the engineering colleges. The placement is above 90% every year.  Panimalar is a Christian minority institution affiliated to Anna University. The institute ranks 6th in Chennai and invites more than 100 companies every year. RMK provides students with enough placements of 70-99%. It is affiliated to Anna University and is widely recognized for its academic standards. The institute ranks 30th in Tamil Nadu by NIRF 2020 and consists of a faculty strength of 300 members.  Admission process:- Velammal Engineering Candidates should have passed 10+2 for admission in UG courses.  The selection for BTech/BE program is made through TNEA. ME in Computer Science and Engineering. Placement scenario: The placement rate is around 80% with the highest salary of INR 11 lakhs and the average salary of INR 4 lakhs. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Soliton, Cognizant, WDM Technologies, HCL, KPIT, DeltaX, Mind Tree, Dell, Hexaware, Coda Global, Virtusa, TCS, EY, Hitachi, TCS NINJA, Multicore India Pvt. Ltd. In terms of placement opportunities, Velammal and RMK Engineering College are better as compared to Panimalar Engineering College. The fee structure is almost similar in all three colleges.

It is ranked 201 for BTech by NIRF 2020. The Panimalar Institute of Technology is also affiliated under Anna University approved by AICTE. It has a highly reputed and strong faculty. A training cell is present in the college to enhance the capabilities of engineering graduates to meet the industry standards. The girls hostel includes 96 rooms accommodating 3 in one room. The campus is 65.745 acres. They have a cafeteria, computer labs, healthcare centres and also provide transportation facilities. Both the institutes are equally good, they more or less provide the same facilities. Their course fees are also similar. It finally depends on the student and their preferences which will determine the selection of the college.
