Course Information

Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to the 1 st year of the degree programme to have successfully completed 12 years of schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University. Mandatory eligibility for the Programme is a pass at the +2 level (ISC/CBSE/ other state boards/International Board/Karnataka PU Board) in any stream with a minimum of 60%.

Course Details

The four-year B.Sc Economics (Honours) programme follows the NEP programme structure as specified by the Government of Karnataka. Along with Economics as a Major Discipline, the students shall study Psychology as a Minor Discipline.

The flagship course offered by St Joseph’s college of commerce is BBA. The student intake for Indian students is 240 and for International students’ its 60. Admission Process:  Admissions to the BBA program are offered to candidates having passed 10+2 (any stream) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board, for general category students and 45% marks for students of SC and ST category. Selection of candidates will be based on merit. These will include cumulative scores of St Joseph’s college entrance test, micro presentation and Personal Interview (PI). The institute provides 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates. It is mandatory for every candidate to register for St Joseph’s college entrance test in online mode.  They should communicate their choice of course and institute.  It is mandatory for the students to attend all the tests to be eligible for admission to any of the UG programs. Only candidates who attend all the tests of the selection process will be considered as eligible. Candidates who miss any one of the tests will be considered as ineligible for the selection process.
