Ques

Which institute is better for pursuing an MBA, BIMTECH, SOIL, or IMI?

● Top Answer By Sidhharth Jain on 23 Feb 23

Ans
When considering a post-graduate program in management, SOIL may be a strong option due to its flexible course offerings. SOIL offers a 1-year PGPM course, in addition to its 2-year MBA program, for individuals with at least 2 years of work experience. This can be particularly beneficial for those who wish to continue working while pursuing an advanced degree. Additionally, SOIL's average placement numbers are higher compared to BIMTECH but lesser than IMI, with an average placement of 11 LPA as opposed to 9.38 LPA and 12.87 LPA for BIMTECH and IMI, respectively.  However, it is important to consider other factors and conduct thorough research before making a final decision on which program to pursue.

Ques

Which PGDM is better, IMI in New Delhi or TAPMI?

● Top Answer By Abhishek Dutt on 15 Mar 23

Ans
IMI Delhi is ranked higher than TAPMI in most of the rankings one will come across. However, the scenario may differ based on work experience, expectations from an MBA, and the major one is looking for. IMI Delhi has a better record of companies coming for placements than TAPMI. But, TAPMI has a different approach to placement reports. The figures are CRISIL certified, and the aim is to provide world-class education with a rigorous curriculum unmatched in the industry. The education and rigor received at TAPMI will make the investment worth it. Life at TAPMI is tough, and it is not the typical B-School one would wish for. The institution is strict about every detailed aspect, and there won’t be opportunities to go home every fortnight or bunk class. However, a wonderful campus with best-in-class facilities will be provided, and personal expenses won’t skyrocket. Placements will not be an issue once the necessary skills are acquired. Opportunities in every field of every kind will be provided, and the faculties are top-notch with high industry experience. In the end, the decision is up to the individual.

● Top Answer By Hardik Nagar on 01 Mar 23

Ans
IMI Delhi is a highly distinguished management institute with excellent industry exposure due to its location, large alum base, and monthly business thought leadership sessions. In addition to the mandatory summer internship program, students can also participate in various live projects offered by companies through the college placement cells. Ques

Which is better: IMI, Delhi or XIMB?

● Top Answer By Shubhra Nath on 15 Mar 23

Ans
The choice between IMI and Xavier University depends on which course you want to pursue. If you want to pursue the core course, i.e., General Management at IMI or Business Management at XIMB, then both are almost at par with similar placements. Your decision will be based on your location and brand preference. If you want to pursue HR, then Xavier has the advantage. If you want to pursue Rural Management, Sustainability Management, Urban Governance or Masters in Business Finance, then IMI Delhi doesn't have any of these courses. On the other hand, IMI Delhi offers Banking and Financial Services which is not offered by Xavier University.

Ques

I got only 59.61 percentile in DILR. But in English and maths, I got 97 and 88 respectively, overall 90.71. Will I get calls from IMI Delhi and XIMB?

● Top Answer By Souvick Gupta on 18 Jun 21

Ans
If you have an aggregate percentile of above 90%, you can go with IMI Delhi as the marks are not evaluated subject-wise. However at XIMB, they have mentioned that they will have a sectional cut-off, but how much is not specified. So with such a low score in DILR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning), you may miss out. But before you choose any of the institutes, you should ask yourself, if you put enough effort into quants and DILR while preparing? If the answer is no. Then, it will be better to prepare for another year and aim for a better score. If you put in the hard work now, you can get into much better B-School like IIMs, SPJ, etc. A better school means more academic pressure, but in the end, you will end up with a better CTC and a reputed company. In corporate life, pressure is not available, so why not aim to do it with a better salary. If you put in 18 hours of work for 6-7 months, your percentile will definitely improve. And if staying motivated is a challenge for you, you can get a mentor who will push you to do better. So, although IMI and XIMB are pretty good options, it will be better if you try to better your percentile.

What should be preferred among IMI Delhi PGDMHR and XIMB MBA- HR?

● Top Answer By Shruti Das on 02 Jul 21

Ans
XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same. The former has been renamed to the latter. XAHR ranks above IMI New Delhi in HR. Not because of the placement prospectus but because of the faculties. Most of the faculties are from have great industry experience. The course is as per the global standards of SHRM. They provides 100% placement in both finals and summers. You also get the experience of the outbound learning program organized by TSAF or TATA steel adventure foundation. The new campus is a little outside the main city and the only advantage of IMI New Delhi is its location. XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same.
