IITM New Delhi BBA, B.Com (Honours) and BCA Admission 2023

Institute of Information Technology & Management (IITM)New Delhi offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) followed by B.Com (Honours) degree programs at the undergraduate level. The courses are offered for a duration period of three years. The number of seats for the BBA program is 120 whereas the course intake for the BCA program is 60 seats.

To apply for the UG courses, candidates need to pass in 10+2 level examination of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. For BBA candidates must have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.

For admission to the BCA candidates must have passed in English (core or elective or functional) and Mathematics or Computer Science/ Informatics Practice/Computer Application. Candidates holding a three-year Diploma in a branch of Engineering approved by AICTE and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, can also apply for the BCA program.

Admission to the courses is strictly done on merit basis through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The University conducts central counselling for all the affiliated colleges for 90% seats.

For management quota 10 % seats are reserved additionally, candidates need to qualify the Combined Entrance Test conducted by the University for BBA program.

Key Points

The merit list is drawn on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
There is no provisional admission under management quota option.
Out of the remaining 90%, 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and 5% seats for outside Delhi candidates.

IITM New Delhi MBA and MCA Admission 2023

At the postgraduate level, Institute of Information Technology & Management (IITM)New Delhi offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree programs. The duration for the MBA course is two years whereas the MCA program duration is three years. The annual intake capacity for each of the program is 60 seats.

Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chartered Accountancy or any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate, are considered to be eligible to apply for the MBA program.

For admission to the MCA program, candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BCA/BIT/BIS) of a recognized University in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and must also have passed Mathematics and English at least at the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE or any other Examination recognized as equivalent. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate, are also considered as eligible.

University conducts a common entrance test (CET) for admission to the MBA and MCA programs. The college selects the candidates on the basis of their marks secured in CET.

Remarks:

To apply for this course the candidate must have a 12th passing certificate from any recognized school. Then the candidates should register themselves at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's website for this particular course during the time the application is out. They have to fill in all the education and identity details requested by the website. The candidate must also write an entrance exam called CET which is conducted by the same University mentioned above. The application date starts from 4th march till 31st May. The candidate must also pay for registration as well as for the entrance exam. The University should provide detailed information about the colleges being applied as well the allotment process should be more transparent

the admission process was smooth and easy as we had to give a common entrance exam and the information about the exam was provided on the IPU website including the result and fee forms. the admission process is easy the only thing that can help students is telling them the difference between float and freeze as many students tend to miss out on many opportunities due to this option.

Had a good time in iitm

Remarks:

The eligibility of the course is more than 50 percent in 10th and 12th grade from a recognized institution or board. The entrance exam of GGSIPU is necessary for IPU CET you will find that on their website and all the latest updates. I was ranked around 5000 in the CET and I got iitm in the second round of selection. There are basically 3 rounds + one spot round in the college selection process. The college is very good, excellent faculty focuses on the overall development of the students. one thing is that the campus is very small, there is no playground or basketball court. Otherwise education wise it is very satisfying.

Truth of IITM

Remarks:

After giving IPU CET rank will come. On the basis of rank, one can get admission to IITM. Another option is management quota. Science and commerce can apply for this course. Application forms for IPU CET will be available on the IPU Admission website. There are only the General and SC categories in college. Now college is increasing more courses in the building. They don't have a campus. The canteen is available.

Eligibility for course BCA should be u must have a maths or computer science subject. If u have only one then it's ok, but if u didn't have any of them then it will be quite difficult for you. I gave IPU entrance exam for my course. Eligibility is totally on the entrance score Application forms and other details are there on the GGSIPU website. We have to register the email and phone number and they keep sending you updates for the further procedure through that. It's just that the admission process and the results and college allotment takes a lot of time it's about 3-4 months.

My elder sister is an IITM student. So, I think I can answer your question. IITM Janakpuri is affiliated with IP university. When it comes to management, they provide the best faculties as well as all of the extracurricular managerial activities that a student may require depending on their course. In terms of chilling out, it's a great college, but there's less space to chill out on campus because it is built in a small area. The canteen at the institute is the best in the institute with three different spaces. There are in-house Amul cafes and Nescafe. IITM Janakpuri also has a great location. It is situated right next to a metro station.

For a BBA course, the college you choose would not matter a lot unless it offers decent on-campus placement opportunities. My cousin has pursued a course in BBA and as per his experience, he considers it to be a highly professional course. If you perform well throughout the course then you can for sure get recruited at a reputable firm after completion. You have to put in the required efforts by yourself. If you are considering doing an MBA then good performance during your BBA will be helpful in the future. Now coming to the colleges that you have mentioned in your question, I would recommend that you opt for a BBA program at IMS, Noida. I have a few friends from the institute and according to them, the BBA course is quite great. In the 2020 placements, the highest CTC offered by the institute was 12 LPA. You can search about several other colleges that are situated in New Delhi or the NCR region. You can take a look at IP University, IMS Ghaziabad, and more such institutes to make sure that you go for the college that would prove to beneficial for your career.
