Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) Bhopal offers Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (PGDSM). Admission for the batch 2022 has been concluded. Admisison to both the programs is based on a valid score of CAT/ XAT followed by WAT and PI rounds. IIFM Bhopal also gives importance to past academic records during the final selection. At Doctoral level, IIFM Bhopal offers M.Phil in Natural Resources Management and FPM in 10 specializations. Selection for M.Phil is based on Written Test conducted by the institute. The qualified applicants of UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR-NET are exempted from the written test. Whereas, FPM Admission is based on CAT/ GMAT/ UGC-CSIR-JRF/ NET/ GATE/ ICAR NET or FRI PhD Entrance Test. The final selection for both the courses is based on performance in an online Interview.

IIFM Bhopal also offers Certificate Course on Chartered Foresters in partnership with the Paperboards and Speciality Papers. It is a 4-month full-time course. Admisison to the Certificate program is based on the candidature of the students. IIFM Bhopal PGDFM & PGDSM Admission 2023

IIFM Bhopal offers Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (PGDSM). The total seat intake for PGDFM is 150 while for PGDSM is 50.

IIFM Bhopal PGDFM & PGDSM Eligibility

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
Candidates appearing in the final year examination can also apply provided that they have to submit the provisional mark sheet/degree by June 30 of the admission year.

IIFM Bhopal PGDFM & PGDSM Selection Criteria

Shortlisting for PGDFM & PGDSM programs is based on the score in CAT/ XAT.
IIFM Bhopal conducts WAT and Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates during March/April.
The final selection is done on the basis of marks secured according to the weightage given to CAT/ XAT, Academic performances, WAT, and PI.
The foreign candidates will be selected on the basis of GMAT scores. The personal interview will be through skype. The regular classes will be held from the 1st week of July 2021.

IIFM Bhopal FPM Eligibility

Candidate must satisfy any of the following eligibility criteria for admission:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks.
And, they must have a Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology/Management/ Economics/ Social Science/ Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities/Forestry and related science/ Environmental and related discipline, and other relevant discipline with first class including Five year/Four-year Integrated Master's Degree programme and with good academic records
Or, they must have a Professional Qualification like CA/ICWA/CS with at least 55% marks.
Or, they must have completed PGDFM from IIFM or PGDM from IIM with at least 3 CGPA
Or, they must be MRM graduates from IIFM with at least 3 CGPA
Candidates must not be more than 45 years of age as on July 01 of admission year.
Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

IIFM Bhopal FPM Selection Criteria

IIFM Bhopal follows two-stage selection criteria as mentioned below

Stage I: IIFM Bhopal shortlist students on the basis of following:

CAT/GMAT Score
UGC-CSIR-JRF/ NET in relevant area of specialization
GATE
ICAR NET (Not older than 2 years)
FRI Ph.D. Entrance Test
PGDFM/MRM in Natural resource Management from IIFM or PGDM from IIM with CGPA of 3.0
All India and allied services officers, officers in scale II of nationalized banks, officers of equivalent rank of PSU

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility and do not have any of the above qualifying tests, but have five years' working experience post their degree will have to qualify the internal test designed by IIFM.

Stage II: The shortlisted candidates are further invited to take part in Online Presentation and Interview.

The final selection is based on entrance test score, presentation and performance in interview.

IIFM Bhopal M.Phil Admission 2023

IIFM Bhopal offers M.Phil in Natural Resource Management. There a total of 26 seats in the program.

IIFM Bhopal M.Phil Eligibility

Candidates must have a Post Graduate degree/diploma in the field of Science/Engineering/ Management and related Social sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate.
A relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST/DA.
Oﬃcers from Indian Forest Service, State Forest Services, Group 'A' Oﬃcers or equivalent from Govt. Departments/Public Sector and representatives from NGOs with a minimum of 3-years of experience are eligible to apply.

IIFM Bhopal M.Phil Selection Criteria

Selection for M.Phil program is based on student’s performance in the written test conducted by the University, which consists of three components:
- English Proficiency
- Core concepts of Research methods
- Natural Resource Management aptitude.
The qualifying marks for the written exam are 50%.
Those who qualify in the written test have to appear in Interview
The written test/ Interview will be held online.

Key Points:

Candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR-NET or candidates who have done PGDFM from IIFM with a minimum of 3 CGPA are exempted from the written test.
The nominated in-service candidates shall be exempted from written tests.
Out of 26 seats, 10 seats will be filled by in-service candidates

IIFM Bhopal Certificate Course on Chartered Foresters (C3F) Admission 2023

IIFM Bhopal offers a 4 month full time certification course (C3F) for professionals who already have an established career as Foresters as well have a good educational track.

For candidates who are corporate sponsored need a letter from the sponsoring company along with receipt of total fees. Their selection is based on the interaction.
For other applicants who do not fall under aforementioned category their shortlisting is done on the basis of their online application followed by Interview.

PGDM from Indian institute of Forest management Bhopal is good. The curriculum is quite similar to that of other B schools but they have some forestry papers in every trimester.

You will not specialize in marketing, finance and HR but specializations are available for Conservation and livelihood management, environmental management and development management.
If you want to make a career in the environment and development sector then this college will be good for you.
Placements will be mostly in the rural area and packages might be in the lower side around 5-6 lacs.
You will get positions like program officer in conservation organizations, young professionals in livelihood missions, tourism coordinator, resort manager, sales manager in banks and microfinance institutions, consultants in multilateral organizations like UNDP, World Bank etc.

MBA pass-outs from IIFM work as managers in several sectors, taking difficult decisions like the banning and control of falling of trees, framing a criminal offense for the poaching of wildlife, etc.

There are certain requirements which are needed to be fulfilled by every student in the proper admission procedure.

Eligibility

You should score 50% in their Bachelor's degree or a CGPA equivalent.
For students belonging to SC/ST/Differently Abled (PWD category), the candidate must have a minimum score of 45%.

In case there is a candidate who is still waiting for his/her results after completing their degree OR is appearing in their final year of Bachelor's- they can thereafter join on provisional grounds by submitting the documents required on time. This document has to be signed by the Principal of the candidate's previous college mentioning that the candidate has cleared their degree.

Admission Procedure

A valid score in CAT or XAT. Based on these scores, you will be shortlisted for GD and PI round.
Apart from applying to IIFM via CAT/XAT, you can visit the university's website and pay the admission fee - Rs. 1000 for the general category and Rs. 500 for SC/ST category.
Based on your CAT/XAT score, you have to show up for an interview either at Bhopal, Bengaluru, Delhi, or Kolkata. Nevertheless, ultimately IIFM would be allotting centers to the candidates.

IIFM Bhopal is a sectorial institute that can provide you with a great number of opportunities. To name certain fields- Development, MNC, Wildlife, Microfinance, Banks, Forestry. You can choose any one of the following and you would never end up being disappointed.

The highest placement package offered at IIFM Bhopal was 14 LPA in 2020. The salary you would be offered here would not be very appealing as it might not be as popular as the others.

As far as loan is concerned and considering the entire atmosphere or IIFM, Bhopal- it would absolutely be worth it.

IIFM Bhopal is not exclusivelyabout Forestry in particular as it comprises several other subjects as well.

The syllabus would cover topics like Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and others that relate to the Marketing side.
Instead of joining the core management sector, you would master yourself in 3 main domains which are- Rural Development Management, Environment Management, and Conservation and Livelihood Management. This, in particular, is what makes IIFM what it is today.

By the time you would have completed your course and stepped out in society, you would realize that you are capable enough to make a good contribution to society. You would be carrying such a unique niche as compared to other management graduates that you would be somewhat superior to them in strict terms of expertise. GLIM, GIM, FORE, and LIBA offer general MBAs. So, you can your preferred specialization during your second year. This will give you a lot of freedom in terms of choosing your industry and job profile. All of these are good options. FORE has a great industry interface. Located in Delhi/NCR, it also enjoys a locational advantage.

Your preference order for these four B-School should be - FORE=GIM>GLIM>LIBA.

NIBM is a sectoral B-School, so choose it only if you are interested in joining the banking sector. Though IIFM isn’t a sectoral B-School, it is only known for its finance specialization. It is also rated below FORE, GIM, GLIM, and LIBA.
