Q: Are students required to stay on the campus?

PGDM Programoffered by CIMP is a two-year fully residential program. Students have to stay on campus during the program.

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), Patna was established as an autonomous institution in 2008 with active support from the Government of Bihar. CIMP offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Fellow Program and an Executive Program in Management (for working professionals) sponsored by the Government of Bihar.

The institute has released the placement report for the 2022-2024. According to the report CIMP Patna has achieved 100% placement for its 15^th batch.The highest package offered this year was INR 24.80 lakh per annum. More than 25 corporate companies from myriad sectors participated in the placement drives. These participating companies were from diverse verticals like Banking, Dairy, Paints, FMCG, Financial Inclusion, Telecommunication, Aerospace /Defence, Pharma, Bihar Government, Life Insurance, Metal Manufacturing, Construction & Engineering.

Around 97 students of the batch who opted for placement this year, were picked up by top 22 companies who participated in the placement season namely, ICICI, Global Archer, Amul, HDFC Life, IDBI Bank, Axis Bank, Federal bank, Colgate- Palmolive , HDFC Bank etc. The largest recruiter for the batch of 2022-24 has been yet again ICICI Bank which hired 27 students for different verticals.

CIMP offers PG Diploma, Fellow and Executive Programs in various disciplines. Tabulated below are the details for the same:

Course 1: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Specialization: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics and Operations.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent CGPA (45% for reserved category) and obtained a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/MAT
Duration: 2 years

Course 2: Fellow Program in Management

Specialization: Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Information Systems, Communication, Human Resource Management, Operations and Quantitative Techniques.
Eligibility: Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and Obtained a valid score in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ RAT conducted by the institute.
Duration: 4 years

Course 3: Executive Program in Management

Eligibility: Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and Obtained a valid score in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ RAT conducted by the institute.

Selection Criteria

For PGDM

Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks in any of the following exams:
- Common Admission Test (CAT) – Read more
- Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) – Read more
- Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) – Read more
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.

For FPM

Candidates will be selected on the basis of research interest, work experience, and marks secured in any of the following exams:

- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) – Read more
- Research Aptitude Test (RAT)
Candidates are required to submit a proposal narrating their specific topic of research.

For EPM

The first level screening will be done on the basis of received application forms. Selected applicants will be called for a personal interview later.
The final selection will be done on the basis of the overall performance of the applicant in all components of the selection process.

Recruiters who visited CIMP for the first time include Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd., Prism Johnson Ltd., RBL Finserve Limited, Arohan Financial Services Limited, Samasta Microfinance Limited (an IIFL group company), Marico Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank, Jana SF Bank, and Iffco Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd.

Ans. Yes, the institute has achieved 100% placement. All the graduating students of the previous 10 batches got placed successfully.

Ques. Does CIMP help in getting a bank loan?

Ans. Yes, CIMP helps students in getting an education loan from the leading nationalized banks. This will, however, be subject to the ability of the candidate to fulfill the terms and conditions of the respective bank.

Ques. What are the scholarship available to the students?

Ans. CIMP facilitates the education of economically backward students through Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) as proposed by AICTE. The proposed scheme will be applicable only to the students having parents’ annual income (from all sources) less than INR 8 lakhs. The total number of seats under this category will not exceed 5% of the total intake of the students.

Under the Meritorious Girl Student Scholarship (MGSS) Scheme, the scholarship will be given to the top 3 girl students securing a place in the top 10 positions in the batch, every academic year.
