The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics offers the following Doctor of Philosophy course to the students’ who have completed and passed their master’s degree.
The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics accepts applications for the above-mentioned course by the candidates who have qualified CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR / INSPIRE NET JRF / UGC – RGNF (or similar).
The candidates will be shortlisted for admission on the basis of their performance in the walk-in-interview conducted on the campus.
If the number of candidates for interview is too much, a written examination will be conducted.

- The interested candidates must have appeared and scored well in their master degree level examination from a recognized university in any branch of Science, Technology and Agriculture.
- The candidates who have qualified the CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR / INSPIRE NET JRF / UGC – RGNF/ BINC examination conducted by the DBT with fellowship or JEST with fellowship are eligible to apply for Research Scholars Program (Doctor of Philosophy).

The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics has the following selection Criteria for admission to the Research Scholars Program.
The selection criteria for the above mentioned Research Scholars Program (Doctor of Philosophy) course in The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics is as given in the following points:
- The interested students can apply via the online mode of application.
- The candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (master degree level or equivalent examination).
- Selected candidates will be notified and given an invitation for a walk in interview.
- Admission to the Research Scholars Program is based on the walk in interview.
- Candidates to clear the first round of the walk in interview will be shortlisted for the second round.
- The full interview and familiarizing with the faculty of CDFD is conducted over a span of 3 days.
- If the amount of applications are too many, then a written examination will be conducted on the first day to shortlist the candidates for the next round of the interview.
- Final selection will be performed on the basis of the candidates performance in the walk in interview.
