Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics (SIG) Pune was established in the year 2004. SIG Pune offers variety of courses including M.Sc. in Geoinformatics and M.Sc in Data Science & Spatial Analysis, M.Tech in Geoinformatics and Surveying Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics and Disaster Management and Certificate Course in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Spatial economics and customized certificate courses.

Eligibility for M.Sc./ M.Tech. programs are offered to the candidates having passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate.
GATE score is considered for M.Tech course.
Non GATE candidates have to give entrance exam conducted by institute.

Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics M.Sc. Admission 2023

SIG offers admission to two-year full time M.Sc. program in 2 Specialisations. Admission to M.Sc. will be done on the basis of Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted by the Institute.

M.Sc. Geoinformatics Eligibility

Graduate in Engineering, IT, Science, Computer Science, Agriculture, Geography, Commerce and Management from any recognized University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% Marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes). Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be confirmed subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at qualifying examination.

A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

M.Sc. Data Science & Spatial Analytics Eligibility

Graduate in Engineering, IT, Science, Computer Science, Computer Application or equivalent of any statutory / recognized university with 50% marks (45% for SC / ST). Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be confirmed subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at qualifying examination.

A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Graduates from Open Universities or students having a degree through a correspondence course are NOT eligible.

SIG Pune M.Tech Selection Criteria

Initial Screening for admission to M.Tech Geoinformatics will be done on the basis of GATE score. Candidates those who have not given GATE have to appear for the entrance test which will be conducted by institute. After that selected students will be called for PI and WAT. Candidates who perform better in that round will be selected for admission.

SIG Application Process for admission is online. Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for the courses offered:

Click on 'Register' and enter your data in the online application form.
Read through the Terms and Conditions and click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Fill in the details requested in the online application form under Register tab. Please do not forget to fill in the fields marked (*) as these are mandatory fields.
Click on the Save and Continue button at the bottom of the page.
On the next screen, choose password, answer hint questions and click on the Submit button to register.
The next screen will display your unique SIUPGF22 ID.
After successful registration, you will get an e-mail containing your SIUPGF22 ID and password. Use this SIUPGF22 ID for all future correspondence with Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
