NCBS offers M.Sc. course in Wildlife Biology and Conservation (2 years), and Ph.D. in Biology (5 years max). In addition, the college also offers an Integrated Ph.D. course in Biology which is of a total duration of six years.
For admission in Ph.D and Integrated Ph.D, candidates need to appear in TIFR Nationwide Entrance Examination (GS) for Biology, which is also called the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).
- Performance in the written test, combined with the information requested in the additional application material is used to shortlist candidates for interviews
- Admission process for Ph.D and Integrated Ph.D programmes are common up to the Entrance Test. However, separate interviews are conducted for both the courses.
For admission in M.Sc. Wildlife Biology and Conservation, there is a separate written test which covers topics on general knowledge, analytical and quantitative skills, wildlife biology and an essay on a conservation issue.
