MITS School of Biotechnology was established in the year 2003 with due recognition from Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
It offers courses in B.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Biotechnology, and Applied Microbiology. It also runs a course in BCA. All the courses of MSB are duly recognized by Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Utkal University.
- Admission to both UG and PG courses is strictly on merit basis by career marking followed by selection on the basis of candidates’ performance in Personal Interview.
- Candidates may even apply for direct admission at the college level without appearing in any entrance examination.
- Those applying for BCA must have passed their class 12th examination/diploma in any stream; B.Sc Biotechnology requires 12th Pass with PCM/CBZ combination and minimum 40% marks in aggregate.
- PG admissions in case of M.Sc Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology shall be permissible to candidates who have obtained their bachelor’s degree in a relevant or concerned subject.
- The applications are usually invited in the month of March and applicants may apply in offline or online mode.
- An application processing fee of INR 300 shall have to be paid via online payment gateway of Demand Draft for each course.
- Candidates may even book their seats in college from March onwards by paying INR 10,000 via online/offline mode.
