Dr. G R Damodaran College of Science is an autonomous institute, affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Established in 1988, it is recognized by the University Grants Commission and NAAC.

Dr. G R Damodaran College of Science offers B.A, B.Com., B.Sc., B.B.A., B.C.A at graduation level, M.B.A,M.C.A.,M.Sc., M.J.M.C, M.I.B. at post graduation level along with Postgraduate Diploma. In addition to it the college also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. in selected specializations.

The eligibility criteria for UG course is based on the marks in 10+2.
The selection in the UG courses is on Merit basis.
Selection in B.Sc is based on 10+2 marks with Biology/Botany/Zoology as main subjects.
The minimum eligibility of PG candidates is graduation in the relevant stream.
For MBA and MCA degrees, there is a selection process which includes Entrance tests, followed by Group discussion or Interviews.
For MBA, MAT score is also considered.
Candidates applying for M. Sc (Biotech) have to give an entrance exam conducted in June at the College itself.
For MJMC, MIB, P.G. Diploma, the eligibility criterium is graduation degree.
Selection in the same is merit-based.

Dr. G R Damodaran offers a variety of PG courses such as, M.B.A., M.C.A., M.I.B, M.Sc, M.J.M.C. Post Graduation Diploma in International Business, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship Development is also available. The basic eligibility criterion for the PG courses is based on the merit of the graduation results. The admission process for MCA and MBA will include Entrance test, followed by Group discussion and interview. For MBA, MAT score will be considered.
