Course Details

Shri Shikshayatan College is one of the renowned girl's colleges affiliated with Calcutta University. Shri Shikshayatan College offers a BBA course at the UG level for the duration of three years. This course is offered full time and in the CBCS semester scheme.

Candidates can choose the electives at the end of semesters with a specialization namely Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Management of Global Business. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks are eligible to apply in the course.

The admission process is based on secured merit in the last qualifying examination followed by a personal interview and group discussion. The last date to fill the application form will be 8 August 2021.

Shri Shikshayatan BBA Key Highlights

Shri Shikshayatan BBA Eligibility

Candidates must pass 10+2 with Mathematics & English as compulsory subjects with 60% marks in aggregate (55% aggregate for reservation category).

Shri Shikshayatan BBA Selection Process

Students will be selected on the basis of merit qualified in the last academic examination & satisfy the eligibility criteria. To be selected in the final merit list candidates are required to have 50% marks which are published in the previous merit list along with 25% of group discussion and 25% of personal interviews.

After successful payment, Candidates should need to upload documents and photographs
The final process is based on reviewing the application and submitting the application successfully.

Shri Shikshayatan BBA Course Details

Shri Shikshayatan offers a BBA Course in 4 specializations that candidates can choose as electives namely Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Management of Global Business.

Total 144 credits have been given to the entire syllabus of the BBA. 20 credits are given to semester-I and semester-II. 28 credits are given to semesters-III and IV. 24 credits are given to semesters-V and VI. After the end of semester-IV candidates have to do a summer internship. In semesters V and VI candidates have to choose the elective subjects.

BBA course is a UG regular program. This course helps the candidates to enhance their business & managerial skills along with perspective. After completing graduation in BBA, a student can pursue higher studies or can have a good placement in top companies with a handsome salary package.

Duration: The course demands 3 years to complete as an undergraduate degree. It includes 6 semesters. Each year concludes 2 semesters. The course can be extended till 5 years.
Attendance: A student is required to have 75% attendance to be eligible for the concerned Semester Examinations. But she doesn't have 75% attendance but more than 60% then she can sit for the Semester examination but with the prescribed condonation fees. And if a student doesn't attend 60% of the whole semester then she has to take readmission for the same semester in the very next year.
Programme Structure: First semester classes for B.B.A. (Hons.) course shall commence ordinarily within thirty days from the date of publication of results and Classes for the second semester through the sixth semester shall commence ordinarily within seven days from the date of completion. The weightage given to the end Semester Examinations will be 80% of the total marks in each paper/ subject/ Module and Internal Assessment shall be for 20% of the total marks of each paper/subject/module.

The timing depends on each department. Each department usually has different shifts. Most of the days the classes start from 9:00 AM or 9:45 AM and go on till 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM. Some classes can also start from 8:15 AM but this goes for the final year students only. A BA or B.Sc. students have class timings from 10 AM to 4 PM. B.Com students have both morning and evening classes. BBA only has morning shifts.
