The candidates must have passed 10+2/PUC or 12th standard examination from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics.

The students belonging to the Karnataka region must clear and score a good rank in the Common Entrance Test (CET).
All the other candidates (not belonging to the Karnataka region) must appear in other competitive examinations like Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
It is compulsory for all the candidates who are not from the Karnataka region to attend either one of these competitive examinations and secure a good rank. Although JEE is compulsory for all.

The minimum eligibility for the Ph.D. course is a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA .

Candidates who will successfully submit the application form will be called to appear in the entrance test conducted by VTU on specified date.
If students clear this test, they have to go to the college and pay fees of INR 20,000/- (for external candidates) and INR 15,000/- (for internal candidates).
After making the above payment, students will be given a Roll No. and they can proceed to meet their concerned HOD.

Interested candidates can apply online for B.E and Ph.D courses. Furthermore, in case of the Ph.D., students can also apply in offline mode. The application process for both the modes is prescribed below:

Online Mode

Candidates are required to visit the official website of the college and click on the “Apply Online” link.
The online application will require them to fill their details such as name and mobile number.
As soon as the student fills the above details, the screen will display a page asking for more information.
Now candidates have to fill personal, communication and education details and enter the captcha.
Once the entire form is filled, they need to click on the “Submit” button.
Candidates will then be called or mailed, giving instructions on the further steps to apply for the courses, submit their documents and also to submit the fees.

Offline Mode (For Ph.D only)

Candidates need to first download the application form from the official website of VTU.
They should then meet with the concerned HOD in the college’s campus to discuss upon the topics which they would prefer to opt for their study.
They are then advised to pay a fee of INR 5,000/- towards counselling fees, seat reservation and application fees.
After paying, they need to submit the filled application form along with the receipt of INR 5,000/-
The candidates are also informed that they will be receiving back the same application form with the signatures and seal of the concerned HOD and Principal.
Lastly, candidates have to submit this application form in VTU, Belgaum personally.
