Candidates can obtain the Application Form in person from the 60 centres (detailed on Anna University’s official website) by paying Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, on production of a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) towards application fee, by cash/demand draft.

By Post:

Application Forms can also be obtained by post from "The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University, Chennai-600025" by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- (Rs.450/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application form is to be mailed

The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2015; the procedure for registration is available in the website. All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank dated on or after 05th May 2015

Candidates are instructed to write the name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time BE/ B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

• Higher Secondary Examination of (10 + 2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
• Any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto.
• Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational Stream (Vocational groups in Engineering / Technology) as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or any other authority accepted by the syndicate of the University as equivalent there to.
• The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, are eligible for admission to the third semester of the B.E. / B. Tech, Degree Programs in affiliated colleges through lateral entry system.
• The eligibility criteria such as marks, number of attempts and physical fitness and the mode of admission shall be as prescribed by the Syndicate of the University from time to time.
• The candidate shall not have completed 21 years of age as on first of July of the year of application. For candidates belonging to SC/ST the age limit is relaxable upwards by 3 years.Number of appearances, minimum marks and other criteria for admissions to B.E / B.Tech courses are as per AICTE and State government norms as follows.
