There are ample opportunities for all students to pursue a good engineering course from here.The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA.

Ans. The college has quite good infrastructure. Buildings are built well enough with big classrooms, every department has a separate building. Home canteen is present inside the main campus with really good food at an affordable price. Games and sports are also cultured a lot in the college. College has Basketball court, football/cricket grounds, indoor games room, etc.

The Central Library is there with a very good collection of books for students. The library also has a book bank which provides free books to everyone for each semester which makes it easier for students to study rather than buying or renting books from somewhere else.

Remarks:

I have done my admission through the WBJEE exam into my college as for btech, joint entrance exam is mandatory. There was no special reservation for students as such. My course fee for btech is around 6.4 lakh.

SIT Siliguri and UEM Kolkata are among the top reputed private engineering colleges in West Bengal. Both of these institutes offer a BTech course for CSE.

Admission:

SIT Siliguri:

It takes admission through WBJEE or JEE Main rank. In 2019 the closing cutoff for CSE was 365667 (JEE Main), 41551 (WBJEE).
Students need 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45% in order to be eligible.

The total course fee for the BTech CSE program is 4.01 lakhs. SIT has 120 seats for the program.

UEM Kolkata:

Admission to the BTech CSE programs is through IEM JEE. Valid WBJEE scores are also accepted for admission. The closing cutoff in 2019 was 87014.
The required eligibility is 10+2 from any recognized board.

The total course fee is 6 lakhs. The student intake for CSE is 180.

Placements: At SIT 88% of students were placed in 2019. Whereas, the placement rate at UEM Kolkata was 90%.
