Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology offers Various Engineering, Management courses at the Undergraduate and postgraduate level. The courses offered at Undergraduate level are B.Tech, BCA, BBA, and BHM. At postgraduate level SMIT Hoogly offers an MBA program.

For Admission to B.Tech, Candidates must pass 10+2 with at least 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry and at least 30% marks in English.
Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of JEE Main examination and following JoSAA Counselling.
Candidates applying for Lateral Entry to B. Tech courses must have a Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc. degree in an Engineering subject with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the last qualifying exam.
Score in CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA is required for admission to the MBA program.
Admission to BBA and BCA is done on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply for SMIT Diploma Admissions 2021?

Application Form for JEXPO 2021 is available from January 2 – April 15, 2021. JEXPO 2021 Application Form will have to be obtained and submitted through Online Mode and Offline Mode.

Begin with online registration on official website for JEXPO 2021 i.e. wbscte.org.
Before proceeding to filling up application form for JEXPO 2021, applicants must arrange soft copies of Passport Size Self Photograph and Signature.
Applicant is also advised to ensure that he / she fulfils eligibility criteria prescribed for the degree programme applying for admission.
JEXPO 2021 application fee for offline mode is INR 500/- and INR 250/- for female applicants and for online mode is INR 450/- and INR 225/- for female applicants. Bank changes are not included in the fee and will have to be borne by the candidate as per the bank norms.
Offline application form will be available in Government and Private Polytechnic and ITI Institutions / Colleges.
Candidate will have to fill in Application Form as OMR Sheet carefully.
Offline Form will have to be submitted to the same college from where it was received.
Other processes are same as online application form process.

Reservation And Scholarship

Reservation- The candidates are selected based on the entrance examination. During the process of selection, the reservation of seats are kept in view. The reservation is as per set by the West Bengal government.

Ans. SMIT provides an on-campus hostel facility. They are well furnished. There are FOUR separate buildings for 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, and 4th-year boy's students and TWO separate buildings for girls' students. There are 4 big playgrounds, common room, gym, movie show in Ac auditorium, etc for the hostel students to avail.

Ans. The main fact of this college is teachers are highly educated and give a perfect lesson to the students and the college environment is also good for study. The teachers are very helpful and friendly. College management is also good for the students.

Ques. What are the facilities given by the SMIT?

Ans. There are Interactive Classrooms- Equipped with multimedia & audio-visual resources to aid in learning; Central Computing Hub- Equipped with high-end computer systems, Servers, Dedicated leased line internet connectivity; Seminar Room- Equipped with High-end computer systems, Servers Seating capacity of 60 students Sound system with 1 lapel microphone & 1 moving microphone One LCD projector with DVD capabilities.

They're in a 42 screen seating that can hold up to 60 students. There is a residence for boys and girls separately, internet connectivity, and other recreational facilities.
